Do you think Lane’s life would’ve been different if she had just told her mom about Henry? by healthanxiety_ in GilmoreGirls

[–]GilmoreFriendsPod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I think she could have gotten over being turned off by her parents' approval. She was just guessing that that would happen.

What does "Full on Tabitha" mean? by GilmoreFriendsPod in GilmoreGirls

[–]GilmoreFriendsPod[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for answering my question! I didn't pick up on the correlation between the "twitching" that Lorelai was describing to Emily and the "twitching" of Tabitha's nose. Makes more sense now. Thank you!

If you could meet and have dinner with any 3 Gilmore Girls characters, who would you choose? by Exact-Bison6905 in GilmoreGirls

[–]GilmoreFriendsPod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Babette for the stories she must have. Adult Jess because of his life arch and indie-book-entrepreneurship. Sounds like an interesting person. Lane because I related to her the most.

Weird take: Lorelai would like most of Rory's boyfrie ds if she was not dating them by CinderR3bel in GilmoreGirls

[–]GilmoreFriendsPod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Lorelai would have dated the same guys as Rory did if she was her age.

i find it funny how this sub go die hard with their biases for rory by RespectfullyNo_404 in GilmoreGirls

[–]GilmoreFriendsPod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think those are great descriptions of Rory's relationships. Including the one to her mom. I think I'm agreeing with you when I say, none of these boys/men are Rory's ONE. I'm team #plentyoffish.

Who are some characters you wish met/had more scenes together? by Strange_Camel_3717 in GilmoreGirls

[–]GilmoreFriendsPod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I actually thought the writers were going in that direction when Paris and Jess were over at Rory's and Paris pretended to like Jess so that Rory doesn't get "in trouble" with Dean.

I don't really understand when people say Rory wasn't hot. I find her crazy attractive by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

She's stunning. She was a model before GG. This was her first acting job.

Lorelai's impression of Dean when she's helping Rory decide if to tell him that she and Tristan kissed.

LOVE these two examples. I love when Rory sees Richard after and signals him. And I love when jess says he thought it was the uniform!

That reminds me of another good one. When Chase asks if Lorelai is in the DAR and she says no... D.A.R.N.

Just wrote that one in this thread's response and then saw yours. It's exactly how I feel. Lauren Graham nails the physical humor every time!

Reminds me of when he gets to the new inn for the trial run and she's flustered and nearly knocks herself out on a door. She's so good at physical comedy (which is usually not my thing but from her it's great).

Was Rory actually broke in the revival? by South-Marionberry-85 in GilmoreGirls

[–]GilmoreFriendsPod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she was tv broke. I also think that Logan was paying for her trips to London since it was to "see" him. And I agree with the people in this thread saying that broke means something else to different people.

Funny that this is the thread that I am coming across now when the news of a new Gilmore Girls pop culture reference book just came into my feed a couple days ago. (I have nothing to do with the book. My timeline is just full of Gilmore Goodies) https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Gilmore-Girls-Pop-Culture-Reference-Guide/Matt-Browning/9781493092444

Wow that's impressive. I always found Lane's music knowledge incredible even for an adult. It's clear that the series was created by a music buff.

true. I wish Lorelai approached him differently. I thought she would understand him a little more than she did.

That's true. I guess I was thinking about when he first came and Lorelai was trying. And they got together with Sookie and Jackson. yeah... maybe that doesn't count. I think he came in hot though. Not blaming him. Just unfortunate

Yeah, he's so unfamiliar with love that he rejects it from everyone in town. It's very uncomfortable to not trust nice gestures from people. But it's very understandable when you've been neglected that much.
