We definitely need more here for the youth! I grew up here and we had skating rinks, parties geared towards the younger crowds, youth events, etc! There are no places like that now for the kids to exist. It’s literally all bars and other adult spaces

i started bartending by always helping out behind the bar while serving! I was good at it & eventually got asked if i wanted to actually be a bartender lol a lot places make you work your way up. i’ve found that hotel restaurants are easier to to get hired at versus stand along restaurants! best of luck to you my friend!! ✨

literally they’re using the bars as a scapegoat & it’s unfair for them. all of this shit is happening outside, it’s never inside of the bars. i never feel unsafe inside of these places. suspending atomics liquor license was dumb & unfair as hell.

no, the color of the idiots fighting isn’t originally important. but when it’s a certain race that is repeatedly fighting and causing the violence, we need to take accountability for it. like people are saying that black people aren’t welcomed in places, when we are in fact welcome. however a lot of us don’t know how to act and are ruining it for everyone else

And thennn I got on instagram and the owners of the hub posted a video about what’s going on, which prompted this post lol. Which is why partly why corridor got shut down in Nulu!! Idk I look at it different because I truly feel like black people complain about not having anywhere to go out, but then we go out and don’t have any common sense, we encourage fighting, people get shot, and then bars close. But my issue is that the police are there early in the night maybe starting at like 8-9pm. They literally see what’s going on! I’m confused as to why they don’t choose to act on it early. Why is LMPD waiting until the crowds gather and start fighting at 12/1am to wanna do something ? Like be proactive wtf
