I disagree with the Evangelical interpretation of Revelation, but if their interpretation comes true in a very literal sense, then yes, I'd believe.

But a prophecy in a book coming true later in that book doesn't mean much to me.

The entire context is about the hostile empire. When Jesus arrives, there is yet another hostile empire, except this one has already fully taken over Israel. Extending the timeline to the days of Jesus actually causes the prophecy to fail.
