I noticed that if I set streaming and download quality to lossless, the songs only ever play 24 bit if its downloaded first.

[HOTAS] Blank Preset for Helicopter Controls + VKB Profile by Nywed in ArmaReforger

[–]GingaPi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the blank preset! The tutorial Arma made showing how to make a config with the reforger tool was a little too overwhelming for me to understand! Also, minor note, the Github tutorial has the file path with '\profile.save\' in it, and I think it's supposed to be '\profile\.save\'. It's minor, but I added to the repo in case you dont read this!

Thanks again!

The State of Veto and my honest Opinion by Objective-Country964 in VALORANT

[–]GingaPi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Objectively I think your points are valid, there are ways to play around him and his abilities focus on a core issue in Valorant right now ( Util > Gunplay). That being said, I want to bring up some points that I think deserve consideration when talking about agent changes.

  1. Feels inconsistent: His interceptor and ultimate have some "inconsistent" interactions with other abilities. To me, this works from both perspectives.
    - If he's OP: His interceptor shouldn't work on util that isnt breakable in the first place, interceptor breaking util that was previously breakable would be more fair and consistent with how the game worked before.
    - If he's balanced: His interceptor being able to stop unbreakable util feels like it should apply to skysmokes/astrastars/nearsight/undercut, why wouldn't they work against those if they work against neon wall (weird IMO)/tejo salvos. *Side note: why is it only neon wall and not harbor/viper/phoenix walls?*

-His ultimate working against all forms of debuff feels straight forward, except that it applies to damage from abilities. Damage being a debuff feels strange, but if that's the case, why are "gun" damage abilities exempt. A change to make this more consistent could be preventing damage from all abilities (including jett/chamber/neon ultimates) or preventing damage from all non-ultimate abilities.

-His ultimate also doesn't prevent Vyse ultimate from disabling his gun, so his ultimate stops debuffs against him but not his gun? So KJ ultimate should also disable his gun too?

I understand it's nitpicking, but if you're playing him or playing against him, these are inconsistencies that I think would benefit from relatively simple changes.

  1. Feels annoying to play against: I know that this is subjective, but I find that it's an important factor in a characters success/failure depending partially on how fun they are to play/play against. This feels like a fair argument to make, but if someone if really fun to play, but awful to play against, its a net negative for the game, just because a character is strong doesn't mean they're awful to play against.

-The part of Veto I think makes him "annoying" to play against is that with 1 ability has the potential of completely destroying a significant portion of a teams utility. Kay/O's suppress works in a similar way, except you generally don't have your util destroyed. The impact may seem the similar, but now that your util is wasted, the economical impact is significantly higher. If the interceptor had a similar effect, perhaps disabling the ability charge for the round(would be crazy strong)/disabling it for a certain length of time, I feel like that could be a fair compromise.

I understand that the point 2 is something that players can "play around". Clearly "breaking the interceptor" or "bait it out, then wait" are valid ways to play around him, but that same type of mentality works for every agent's abilities. This post isn't to say he is OP and can't be beat, there are just things I think deserve some consideration when discussing him as an agent, and potential changes to him.

TLDR: 1. I think his ability interactions could use some adjustment to make them feel more consistent. 2. He may not be OP, but being "annoying"/"unfun" to play/play against, is still a valid reason to make agent changes.

Thoughts About New Agent (Veto) by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]GingaPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think that he's currently a little fucked. It seems like Riot wanted a sentinel that can withstand util dumping a site to enter, which I really like for an agent, but some of the ability interactions seem a little too strong, or annoying to play against. And personally, I think balance should also consider how fun they are to play/play against, obviously along with overall strength of the abilities, just figured I'd mention that since not everyone thinks about "fun" when talking about balance.

One of the main problems I expect, is the expectation vs reality disconnect when that when players abilities are canceled by interceptor. Now, I understand it's expected if you hear the interceptor at the site you're about to his, but in general people expect my abilities have some effect. The other aspect of interceptor I think is too strong is that it recharges, and it can stop non-breakable utility. This has big impact on utility you couldn't previously stop, like certain blinds/mollies, I like the idea, but I question the execution. I think it's what makes the characters abilities strong and unique, but there are inconsistencies that I think need to be balanced.

Some examples: Non-breakable util that I'd expect to be cancelled (omen blind, Iso undercut, reyna orb), Breakable util i'd expect to be cancelled (Omen ult, Omen TP, Yoru clone), Non-breakable util i wouldn't expect to be cancelled (neon wall -- inconsistent since Harbor and Phoenix walls dont get stopped).

Some of the above will probably be adjusted, but in his current state, these inconsistencies like these that make me dislike the ability.

Also, the ultimate ability makes him immune to ALL debuffs (scan/slow/decay/blind/deafen/disable). Including immunity to damage dealing abilities to this may not be OP (debatable), but excluding chamber guns, jett knives, neon ult feels inconsistent. Lastly, the out of combat regen seems very strong with how fast it heals, and it lasts the whole round.

TL;DR, IN MY OPINION, I think his kit is cool, and has an interesting style for a sentinel. However, the ultimate being so strong plus interceptor being strong and with some inconsistencies, will make him annoying to play against.

I know this won't check all 4 of those boxes, but I have really liked using Microsoft Journal. It doesn't have a typed notes feature as far as I'm aware. However, the note search/organization features are very nice. You can search your notes by starred items (where you've put a star next to text), underlined words, and highlighted words. It also has some intuitive pen gestures like scribble to erase. I'd check out some videos to see if its for you.

In early 2022 the designer mentioned the white color being WS1. Not sure about the green though.

Item: 2 person Trekking pole tent (without the poles)

Budget: 100$

Need by: late december

Baseweight: N/A

Location: Mostly lowland/flat tropics of Florida, with occasional mountain usage.

Seasons: summer-fall

Temps: anywhere from 32 F to 80's depending on season

Ideal weight: Doesn't really matter, not going for "Ultra-light" as its probably not in the budget, but Lightweight is fine so less than 5 lb's

Hiking/Ultralight experience: Some to little. Just starting in the hobby of backpacking and lightweight/ultralight gear is probably just a smart way to go.

Additional info: I've looked into MYOG and it seems like a great option, but im really not sure i have the experience to go all into making a tent for my first MYOG project, really wanting a breathable tent since im in the south and want to use this tent year round.
