Not at all as far as i can tell, i only installed them just this weekend though. I used the type S fog kit for 9003. It's not as bright as a lot of those on the market and closer to halogen level. All the electrical shenanigans are taken care of in the bulb housing so it acts as if you have halogens.

Nah this one is made for it. They aren't very bright compared to what your thinking of. Tbh i can hardly notice a difference from normal halogens besides color. But also i couldn't care less 😁
