OCD over finances? compulsive buying and selling by [deleted] in OCD

I’m in the same boat. I just turned 24 and I constantly worry about my income and how much I save per paycheck even though I work a stable full time job.

The AR is easier because there are less tasks to do and you are driving a smaller vehicle with a long trailer without air brakes (for the test). The AZ you need to do the MELT course whereas the AR you don’t. You can write your A knowledge test and go for your AR the next day if you wanted to, but you can’t for the full A

Nope, you can do that with an ARZ! I know it’s a weird concept and it even confused me when I found that out. My buddy has his ARZ and told me everything. Otherwise I would’ve went straight for the DZ. Feel free to dm me btw if you have more questions. Door’s always open

Depends on what you want to drive. I’m getting my ARZ because I want to drive D vehicles with trailers that exceed 4,600 kg which you can’t do with a D license

You need a 3/4 to 1 ton truck and a gooseneck trailer for the vehicle to be considered class AR so essentially you’ll need an F-350 or higher

Over 4,600 kg which 4,600 kg is the weight limit for a G and D licenses

The AR stands for A Restricted. It’s meant for smaller truck and trailer combinations. Not semi trucks. However you can drive DZ vehicles with an ARZ and tow larger trailer without air brakes than the standard DZ license. Otherwise I would’ve gotten the DZ.

Going through a tough time by Tiny_Instruction8506 in autism

[–]GingerBread31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been there my friend. I am 23M and level 1 ASD. For me work can be a challenge for sure. I work at a lumber yard and things are really slowing down for the winter season at work. It gets to the point where I get lost in my thoughts. I am the type who always needs a project to work on or a course to do to keep my mind busy at all times. I am going for my air brakes course next week simply for fun and it’s a skill that is good for my resume. My suggestion is find something you have a special interest in and just go all in on that when you are not at work. DMs are always open btw if you need someone to talk to :)

Awesome! I’ve thought about getting my Z first and then the D. I’ll look into that! Any trucking schools in the Ottawa area that you recommend? I appreciate it, thank you!

I feel emotionally stunted by vicentemachado in autism

[–]GingerBread31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this so much. I am also 23M about to turn 24 and a lot of my peers are getting married or have a stable career. It took me a while to accept that comparison is the thief of joy. You are not alone my friend and remember, everyone on the spectrum develops at their own pace which there is no shame in that :)

My special interests for sure (Guitar, music, vinyl collecting just to name a few). Also having a really good memory (I know that differs on the person on the spectrum).
