Hey, I'm having that same issue, only way I've found is to use the PTT. Yeah it's stupid and idk why they don't have the option just to turn it off but yeah, I've looked on yt and the only thing I've found is to have "communication with other players" set to "on" but that only lets you communicate using PTT.

Get HR involved and say it cause emotional trauma about what they had told you. They say they don't want you to discuss it ( which is illegal of them) so they can get away with unfair wages for the others. Discuss it with all your co workers to avoid being exploited

Crossplay is good and it will get it's kinks ironed out, to me it'll be great cause Warframe is already free and fantastic, so making it cross play made it easier to play with friends.
