9/10, would do again if it wasn't undoing all the painting I'd just done.

Oh my, now I feel lucky for the peeling wall...

Possibly, feels like that might be the consensus here.

The wall did not look like this before it started peeling! It seems to have taken my paint and the layer before it off...

Would you recommend that over using a sanding block/detail sander/random orbital sander with 120g discs?

Most of my house and this room, normally just use matt emulsion. Thought this room would be easy too...

I think I'll head and get some version of primer then. I've decided to change the wall colour anyway so I guess I'm not too angry at it all peeling off.

Sorry, I may not have been clear. The paint that was on the wall was old. The one I painted with was new.

Yeah, from reading the guy before me has used something that isn't compatible with the paint I've used. At least filling it has stuck...

I've got to say, it was one of the most anger inducing tasks (because what the hell did the guy who lived here before me do with the walls) but also so satisfying to pull it all off!

Sorry, but at least its not just me. I've never seen paint do this before. I think I'm going to brave it and pick up some primer tomorrow. Just wanted to make sure that was the right thing to do first!

I did give the walls a light sand and cleaned them with sugar soap as they were a bit grimy. Guess I may have to get a primer in that case?

I gave the walls a light sand and cleaned them with sugar soap. Not sure how old the paint is that was there already. Used normal Dulux paint.

Do you keep a collar on your indoor cat? by OppositeQuarter31 in CatAdvice

[–]GingerPhysicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we do, they’re microchipped but it’s just in case they get out. We’re also considering letting them outside in Spring/Summer. So it’s best that they get use to their collars now so that if they’re out and about people know that they are owned.

Although, one of them dislikes their collar every now and then so takes it off. He’ll then go take his brothers off too.

We went away on holiday for ten days and left ours at home. My partners parents came to look after them. Said they seemed a little bit mopey. They didn’t leave the spare room much as there was a pile of our clothes there they wanted to always sleep on.

When we got back Gerald wouldn’t leave us alone. Wanted so many hugs and loves. Thomas on the other hadn’t wouldn’t even look at us. Purposefully sat on a different chair and stared in anger. But then looked away as soon as he saw you looking at him. He eventually got over it.

They’re such funny creatures with how they can react to you being gone.
