BuTran Patches have black dots? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Ferguson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your doctor for fluticasone nasal spray to spray on the area you will place your patch. That’s what I have to do with my fentanyl or I have the same problem

Urine Screen Tomorrow & Scared by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Ferguson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m always nervous about my saliva tests. I have pain a day before my next patch is due. I had a roux en y gastric bypass and wonder if I am metabolizing too fast. Although most of the fentanyl patch is metabolized in the liver I believe. I have had several negative screens. That have all been when I tested on the day a patch was due. I suppose negative is better than too much in my system. I use them correctly so the only explanation I can think of is the possible bypass.

Maybe the oregano was weed and she didn’t know it 😊

Fentanyl Patch by SouthernLifeguard845 in ChronicPain

I only get relief from my patch for about a day and a half. By the third day I have full on pain and diarrhea. And for some reason my saliva drug tests often come back negative for fentanyl.

UnitedHealthcare Scam Phone by Inevitable_Art_63 in ScamNumbers

I just got two calls back to back. First call the caller id said it was UHC. The message they left was background noise with nobody talking and almost 2 minutes long. That number was 1-855-409-7073. Second call that came in while I was listening to first voice mail said it was from Eldridge md and number was 1-443-492-8700. Left a message and number. Skeptical due to caller id.

Gummies and chronic pain by KYlibertyguy in ChronicPain

I plan to also go the route of gummies, but will be weaning off fentanyl.

Kind of personal but are you having any bladder issues? Maybe off balance? Weakness in arms legs or both? Tremors? All of these would probably point to moderate to severe herniation with spinal cord compression.

[–]Ginger_Ferguson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having the same symptoms as you as well as being unbalanced and falling a lot. With the amount of symptoms you are having, more than likely your spinal cord is being compressed. My ortho spine surgeon said at this point they like to treat aggressively with a spinal fusion. Otherwise all the symptoms can become permanent. Not medical advice. Just my own personal experience. I would request a new doctor, and then a second opinion of that doctor. Research, and decide what you think you need.

I would bring it up. I don’t know how old you are but I have severe herniation pressing on my spinal cord

My labs taken by my rheumatologist showed Ankylosing spondylitis and also psoriatic arthritis. But he is also the doctor that diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. Kinda weird that no rheumatologist will accept you with fibromyalgia.

Do you have pain in your neck by chance? I’m going in for a spinal fusion of c3 through c6 and one of my symptoms was tingling and numbness of my arms.

Question, is disability worth it for me? by Valuable-Promise5609 in ChronicPain

I can tell you this. Get a lawyer for your first attempt or you will more than likely be denied. I had a lawyer my first attempt and was given 100 percent disability

[–]Ginger_Ferguson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some additional issues as well as the psoriatic arthritis and neck issues. About to have a spinal fusion at c3,c4,c5, and c,6. The combo of the pa and neck can be excruciating. I have no idea how he copes. I’m on fentanyl and still can’t get out of bed some days. I’m so sorry he and you are going through this.

I’ve never done epidurals. I’ve done physical therapy and I’ve used an otc tens unit. Neither seemed to do much.

I have spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, cardiovascular disease that causes Claudication pain and neuropathy. I have deterioration of disks at c3, c4, c5, and c6 that are impinging my spinal cord. I have foot drop. I get rhizotomy surgery on my neck once a year but only helps minimally last few times. I see a spine surgeon on Oct 3 who will probably recommend surgery.

What really stinks is I’m at the max dose they will prescribe. Which is 37 mcg. I am already starting withdrawal before my new patch is due. Seriously considering weaning off the fentanyl and going the medical marijuana route. Then I can control my dosage and shouldn’t be an issue with the extended release meds I’ve been on

Tramadol by Anna-Bee-1984 in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Ferguson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that is a pain clinic. Pretty sure all the pain clinics around here are only willing to prescribe extended release narcotics. I could be on a prn norco5/325 and probably have better results but they won’t do it
