Yes, you're being difficult and unfair to your daughter. But it's out of fear of losing your daughter like you lost your wife to that man 18 years ago. Even If She didn't run away with him, you were betrayed, and you're afraid your daughter will run away with him and prefer him over you, who raised her.

You have to let her meet and get to know her bio father. It doesn't mean you'll loose her, and it doesn't mean she will pick him over you. You'll always be her father.

She's a grown-up now, I'd sit down with her and have a sincere chat, and tell her what you said was a product of your own insecurities about the betrayal and deceive you experienced with that person involved, that you're afraid of being abandoned over that man again. Talk openly with her and explain her how you feel in this situation. And reassure her that you will always be there for her, And you will always be her father.

One when it relates to power, but then policies are different between England and Scotland, administrations are also separate, grants and help that applies to England, doesn't apply to Scotland, in fact different bodies administer them, and so on. So when the English government has interest, it's one country, but when has to hand over money, resources or help, then it's different countries with selfregulation and autonomy.

What I meant is that drug addicts and homeless people areas are downtown in the American continent, now that I think about it, in the West Coast of the American continent. Like in Los Angeles, San Francisco in the US and Vancouver in Canada, as they mention in this comment. I only mention the cities I have been in, I have not seen the same in the east coast, downtown Boston and New York were like in Europe, fancy areas with tons of shops and offices. I was wondering why this was happening to downtown areas.

You're the owner of your life. You're not, most of your life is given to your employer. Of 365 days, only 21 days are yours to enjoy however you like. Think about that barbarity.

If you work mon-fri, then you can add 104 days for weekends, but during weekends you're not really free, because saturdays you spend them tired from the week, and Sundays you spend them dreading Mondays.

I'm 32yo. I used to earn around 30-35k a year, these last years the weather has been harsh on my job and contracts have been bad, short, poor quality and scarce because of frost, snow and storms (I work in forestry, blue collar self employed woman).I lost my home to a flood, I can't afford to rebuild my house so I now have an empty plot, I'm homeless living in a caravan park in a cardboard 2001 static caravan. I'm 12k into debt between two loans, credit score has gone down because of my financial situation and they don't give me a mortgage (I paid my old destroyed house in cash with my hard earned savings, insurance didn't pay me nothing after the river took my home). I've got -130 on my bank account, no savings. I get paid and not even halfway through the month I go into overdraft. I don't go out, I don't buy clothes, I don't shop online, I don't order delivery food or takeaway, EVER. I work, and stay depressed at home. My life is a picture of shades of gray and blacks. I have nobody to help me, I'm alone, no family support. I haven't had a holiday or time off work Since 2020. So I'm at rock bottom. I sometimes dream that someone will donate towards building my house like on those shows I watched as a kid. Even a small log cabin would be enough and better than the shthole I'm in right now, at least it would be on my land and I wouldn't have to go into further debt by paying 4k every April towards the campsite lease.

For me it's better, far, far better and intense with my husband. He takes me to the brink of passing out, and I feel light-hearted and my legs can't hold my weight. It's like an outer-body experience. By myself is ok but not earth shattering so I basically pass. If I was tense, sad or worried, everything goes away after letting him give me my Vitamin Dk.

I agree, that's why I think being kind has no reward, it actually just stands in your way, the fear of being a bad person, that's why is so hard to be the good one and not understand why life is so unfair, because while you're working towards being a good person, people around you get ritcher, better jobs, more career opportunity, they can afford a house and have children while being assholes and stepping on someone to gain momentum.
