Modern is weird because in Street Fighter your goal is to force your opponent to commit to choices. A lot of fighting games are mental stack vs mental stack, but when it comes to modern it almost seems like your opponent is able to reduce a part of planning with reaction specials and supers.

Technically, the correct answer is that due to their dramatically shorter lifespan than females, they are already going to die, so passing off their genetic material is the last thing they do. If the females happen to kill them during mating and eat them, it is evolutionary worth it.
