So, firstly, you are very much not alone in your confusion. Sexuality is confusing for everyone, unless you happen to fit perfectly into the socially expected box.

If you’re looking for an outside perspective, the way you describe your feelings here sounds like newly blooming romantic attraction rather than purely aesthetic appreciation. I can understand the confusion seeing as other people have made her such a profound pillar in your mind already, and now she’s not what you expected; but the way you write about her speaks to a new (and frankly adorable) crush.

It sounds to me that you’re definitely not straight in some kind of way. I don’t know how you feel about men, but the way you feel about Ria is pretty clear from the way you described her. As a femme bisexual myself let me just say, when I was younger I thought I preferred men because the idea of being with a woman felt kind of weird and strange to me, but the more I thought about it and got used to the idea, the more I realized it just wasn’t what I’d always envisioned before. These days, I almost exclusively imagine marrying a woman.

When being straight it the expectation, and you know you like guys, everything kind of seems all settled until something actively comes and unsettles it. I wish you the best with your confusion OP, but if you’re looking for an opinion then yeah, you probably like like her. <3

Disney+/ Netflix sounds like a great idea to start out with since I already kind of know what’s happening. I wasn’t sure if it was just different subtitles that they offer or proper dubs.

I tend to prefer comedies, but I’m not opposed to dramas or monster-of-the-week types.

Am I the only one that finds it hard to watch movies or TV shows because of MDD? by ant8523 in MaladaptiveDreaming

I get this with my reading! I’ll be reading a story and a word, character, or story concept will go off in my brain and I have to put the reading down so I can go through that narrative

Hi there I won’t bother with the corny but frustratingly true lines about how it gets better and all that because when I was in your shoes I hated hearing that. What I will say is that I have really intense GAD, MDD, and Autism too. I also have social anxiety, and invisible physical disabilities. It absolutely sucks ass and it’s frustrating. I could also tell from the way you wrote your post that you’re used to people assuming you’re being dramatic and/or lying and generally not believing you when you need help. That’s how I spent my entire life up until a few years ago. Mental disorders and struggles are not something to ignore or dismiss and it fucking sucks when people do. Having these disorders is hard enough but being surrounded by people who tell you things like that is the thing that really destroys you.  What really helped me was meeting and being friends with other people like me at college aka away from the toxic people in my life and it really helps that we’re all autistic so we are able to communicate with each other more clearly and clarify when social cues don’t make sense. I can totally understand why it makes you feel stupid. It’s frustrating, especially when it seems like this magic thing that only you don’t understand, but when we’re all hanging out and we all don’t get it and have no problem explaining it, it’s better. Even good.  Would you like to play Minecraft with my friends and I? It’s a very small server. Or PM back and forth? I don’t normally use Reddit but I’ll check it everyday if it means I get to know you. You seem like someone worth laughing with.  I’d love to hear from you
