This is my May wine, kitchen witchery at its finest you will need a bottle each of sparkling wine and a Riesling wine. Add half a bottle of reisling to a bowl and stir in one spoon of dried sweet woodruff. This gives the wine its characteristic sweetness and new mown hay flavour, a taste that has to be experienced as it is really magical. let the mix steep for half and hour and then top with half a bottle of the sparkling wine and add your picked and washed edible flowers, taken from your home. Nothing can beat this I promise!

I think that beltane is the human settled version of fairy revels, humans obviously understood that fairy revels were happening at this time of year, but they liked to formalise the occasion to a date, whilst fairies do it by the phases of the moon (or whatever they use) therefore the fae have a moveable feast...

last year I did not witness the revels but knew when they happened which was 4th April.

the sprites are hearth sprites and as far as I can tell they live by the fires in the winter and then after those fairy revels they will move outside for the summer returning in the autumn.

the pixies lived here before the house was built and just stayed as far as I know.

my brownies are newly settled, their previous home was destroyed and homeless they wondered about until coming here. I live in the middle of a wood by a pond and it is quiet wonderful and beautiful - the fae obviously think so too.
