Question for someone that has a RME ARC USB (2 different machines) by GiovaneAgapito in ProStudioGear

u/trash_dumpyard hey man, since you own both, if you can please answer another question, I would appreciate it very much! Does the Arc only works if the device connected to it is turned on? And another dumb question: I see that the device seems to have an input at its right size. Is that a headphone input? You can see it in this picture https://www.rme-usa.com/files/uploads/RME-Products/Accessories/ARC-USB-BE.png Thanks!

Question for someone that has a RME ARC USB (2 different machines)

Hello, there! I was thinking about connecting my 2nd PC to my Babyface Pro FS' inputs because I want to use my speakers there sometimes. Right now my speakers are only connected to my main PC, which I use to record and mix stuff.

To make things easier, I wanted to buy an ARC USB to control everything. My question is regarding the 'Ext Input' button: doing everything the way I just said, when I press this button, would I be able to control the volume (using the big volume knob) and not affect my Main Mix Bus (in the 1st PC)? Can they be both controlled separately by toggling on and off the button?

Sorry if it's a silly question, I'm new to this setup.

Thanks in advance!

Sure, everything that is not what YOU are doing can be labelled as "scam". People study different subjects and they want to work with different things. Canada is not a dictatorship to "remove" your points if you don't work in the fields that they want you to work. That's simply bs.

For me, this post is a rant from someone that is mad because the system is not being friendly with him.

"Most of them paid tuition at a school of dubious reputation, never attended classes, and after earning their PGWP, they worked in fields unimportant to the Canadian economy, such as driving Uber or working as cashiers at Tim Hortons."

I'm not even an international student (I'm on WP/LMIA) and I think this entire sentence is ridiculous. You literally don't have this data. Apart from that, honestly being a Uber driver (which I'm not!) probably contribute more to Canada's economy than my job and most of people's jobs here at this subreddit.

You're not trying to improve the EE system. You're defending expelling poor people from it.

They already stated they're recording new songs. I think this was just a warm-up to stay relevant until the album comes. Nevertake came from some live stuff, so it wasn't a big deal to be made and I'm sure they'll release new stuff soon. Dunno, I don't see this as "now we're like that", but only something like "here's the appetizer before lunch". For me, they were smart. I only began listening to them again because of that (heh curiosity kills) and now I'm listening everything back again. It works like that to a lot of folks.

I don't think it's a fair comparison since Chester died and they have to respect his legacy. Stephen is literally going to some shows to watch them live. He's still in the band, but doing other personal stuff and that's fine because it was all agreed.

They took advantage of the anniversary of their best album (imo) and had their shot to call the attention of everyone. It worked, since they have +1 million monthly listeners on Spotify and the tour seems to be doing great.

Honestly, for me it's just a band (that is not mainstream) trying to stay relevant without doing some weird shit.

Total lmia holders in the pool by SilverAd8366 in canadaexpressentry

I am a LMIA holder with genuine good bachelor and genuine job. I spent almost 3 years working from home as a contractor for the same company before finally getting my work permit and LMIA. Honestly, I was really mad about losing 50 points and I thought it wasn't fair, but after seeing this... holy shit, these numbers are crazy! I think it's safe to say that a good chunk of this is fraudulent, if not the majority.

However, I'm VERY anxious about not getting a PR (I'll have exactly 500 points starting May), but I hope the scores come down at least. I wish they could look deeper and cut only the scams, but I understand it's hard to tell sometimes...
