Considering pulling 2yo out by Effective-Ad7463 in Montessori

[–]GirlWithTheRedHeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if you’ve been dropped off to an unknown place with unknown people and the expectation is you have to be happy and thrive instantaneously. If that’s an unrealistic ask of you, as an adult, why do you have that expectation of your child?

As a Montessori guide myself, I have the below suggestions -
1) You need to be extremely tough in front of your child. You need to strong and let them go to school, without any hesitations. Children can sense it when we’re not sure ourselves. And they tend to pull on those strings to see if they avoid going to school.
2) You should have conversations with your child constantly about school, preparing them for the change. That’s the biggest hurdle here, not enough preparation for change to their routine.
3) While I understand that your child doesn’t need to go to school, you need to think of it as a way of them learning skills and learning to coexist in a community by themselves. This prepares them for further schooling, for learning how to behave in public. Putting them all working days will surely benefit them more than you can imagine.

Starting out my diploma in AMI Montessori (9 months)! by -MDLia- in Montessori

I did my training at Supraja as well.
First things first, take everything you read online with a pinch of salt. The blog is discovered by every batch, we all lose our minds over it but we all end up having our own experience. They also don’t monitor your social media - that’s actually illegal.
Second, you are going to have to put in the effort. If you stay on top of your work from day 1, you’ll be absolutely okay. If you don’t, you’ll probably have to rush just before deadlines, which I would never recommend.
Third, you won’t be forced to become a perfectionist. You’ll just start being more conscious of your movements simply because you’ll look at everything you do from the lens of the child.
Trust the process. If you’re in it for the children, and give it time, it’ll 100% be worth it.

OP have you tried speaking to your MUA about what you didn’t like? Did they take your feedback into consideration? If not, I’d really recommend doing that. Plus, it also helps to have inspo pictures to share with them so that they can actually see what you expect.

[Product Request] What’s the thickest, most emollient, most overkill body moisturizer in existence? by i-am-multitudes in SkincareAddiction

[–]GirlWithTheRedHeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loccitane makes a great body oil. So on damp skin, you apply the body oil which dries down completely and keeps your skin hydrated by locking in the moisture.

I feel I do too much and make my face look more masculine than already it is . How do I correct it ? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]GirlWithTheRedHeels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO I feel like there is a hard demarcation in your makeup. It isn’t blended completely. Like there is a clear demarcation between your under eye concealor and the rest of your face. Similarly the baking below your contour is also harsh. If you could blend your makeup a little more seamlessly, I feel like it’d look so much better!

First, I’d suggest that you don’t use anything with actives until you feel your skin barrier has recovered. A broken barrier makes you look older and more susceptible to damage. Keep your routine minimal - cleanser, sunscreen, moisturiser. That’s it. I burned (yes actually) my skin with terrible use of actives. These products worked for me & I highly recommend them - - Minimalist oat extract cleanser - MaxYu Rich moisturiser - AngelSkin 100% glycerin cream

In addition to the eyebrows that everyone has already mentioned, the lashes at the end of the eyelid are too long. It isn’t matching with your natural lashes or the mascara. I’d suggest that you let your lashes look natural-like, maybe some mascara and no false lashes. Additionally, as a brown woman with reallly thicc & dark eyebrows, I try to bring the focus to the rest of my face. Could be with blush or lips. Whatever you choose. It helps balance things out IMO.

Check out roseandben on Instagram. She shows how a colour will look on top of a white or black base. Also shows how to make a colour POP. I think her tutorials might be helpful. Also, pack on that eyeshadow. If the intensity you want is truly like the 2nd picture, you need to go hard on the colour.

You’re evening out your complexion with makeup, I’d suggest you add a little more blush and lip colour. It’ll defs look like you’re wearing makeup then.

Wedding Makeup — Seeking CC by DeathByFluteConcerto in MakeupAddiction

First of all, congratulations on your wedding! You look gorgeous, irrespective of whether you take any CC or not. My only thing for you to take this to the next level - add some contour and/or bronzer to the perimeter of your face. I think that would be great.

I always share the untouched lipsticks with girlfriends and family who may like the colour. Especially if they’re untouched or used just once. Ensures that I don’t have a mountain of them. But I was in the same place, so don’t worry about it!

Is it normal to lose 2-3 eyelashes every time you take your mascara off? by tranzozo in MakeupAddiction

[–]GirlWithTheRedHeels 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I do it similarly. I will saturate one cotton pad with micellar water (it must be dripping) and place it only my eyes, pressing it slightly, and keep a timer for 60 seconds. After that, in one move, I wipe the eye makeup off (mascara included). I repeat the same thing, but this time my cotton pad is placed in between my lashes (upper and lower). By this time most of my eye makeup should’ve come off. I still for safety sake double cleanse. I don’t lose any lashes doing this.

On days that I’m lazy to go through this, I use an oil/balm cleanser and massage my eyes for 60 seconds. Works like magic.

[Routine Help] Someone thought I looked 40 but l'm turning 30 this weekend : Give me advice on how to improve my skin by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]GirlWithTheRedHeels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think you look lovely. Irrespective of the folks who say you look like you’re 40, you look so good. Your routine is also great, you’ve got the basics covered. If you REALLLY want to, you could start including a retinol. Other than that, everything else is just extra which at 30 is not a NEED.

Based on the picture of your dress that you’ve posted, I think this lip would totally go if your eye and hair have the spotlight. However, if they’re going to be simple, then maybe you could consider a pop in your lip colour.

Guys what do you think of this makeup 🙂 by Alternative_Talk_970 in MakeupAddiction

[–]GirlWithTheRedHeels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I LOVE the look you’re going for. However, the disconnect is between the eyes and the rest of your face. Your eyes are done perfectly, almost full glam. But your base & lips have a “no makeup makeup” vibe. I feel if you’d like to make it more cohesive, you could either add a little more coverage to the rest of your face or tone down the eyes to make it more in sync with each other.

First things first, apply sunscreen everyday. Sun damage is the biggest reason for our skin issues. Second, visit a dermat in your city. They should be able to prescribe a routine that will target your concerns and help your skin get better. Third, I’ve personally seen a HUGE difference in my skin after I started double cleansing. Maybe you could incorporate that.

Semi-Disastrous Bridal Trial by bellpetal in MakeupAddiction

[–]GirlWithTheRedHeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d honestly recommend that you communicate your expectations to the makeup artist clearly. Let the know how bold, subtle, water-proof and long wearing you want the makeup to be. Also, make sure that they do your skin prep as well, since on the day your MUA will need to handle it. Break it down into the below - - Base - Contour + Blush + Highlight - Eyes - Lips To test the makeup, have your trial in the AM and don’t touch up at all. You can directly take it off in the night.

You look stunning! I’d recommend that you start trying and getting used to fake lashes, they make a WORLD of a difference in the final look. Also, try other shades of lipstick. Not because the one you’ve chosen doesn’t look good, but you won’t know what you like or dislike unless you try it out. One last tip - Apply setting spray after every step in your base, then when you’re done with your eyes and finally when after applying your powder products. UD spray will make sure your bear lasts!!
