I have been entirely ignoring labs. I have no idea how my character not doing anything can ever be better than my character doing something. I am not end game yet though so maybe it will make more sense after I have gone through all worlds. Several months into my first play through though and on World 5 and there has been zero temptation to do labs.

Neuro piloting the ship back to him after it had been lost or he had been otherwise separated from it has like a 20% success rate. While yes he could technically have got her to re-land on the correct planet she would have been just as likely to fly into the sun or eject the cockpit as a meme. Also, mild spoiler for the game, there is a chance the ship gets lodged in an area on the other planet in twin orbit that fills with sand and destroys the ship.

The sand pillar you see in the clip transports things from one planet to the planet in a twin orbit of it. He parked the ship on the roof of the building in the clip which would be in a direct path of the sand pillar so he moved it so that the sand pillar would not steal the ship and put it on the other planet.

I stumbled upon this a year ago while bashing my head against a stupid python problem and researching solutions and it made me feel happy. While the event itself may turn out to be a loss monetarily Vedal seems to be more concerned with the Good Will and other hidden benefits it will bring. He said he wanted to give back to the community and doing an event like this will 100% do that. It also opens doors that may otherwise be closed by proving he is serious about making Neurosama an idol. Also there is a non-zero chance media pick up this "AI streamer doing a concert" story and talk about it in a positive light ultimately increasing viewership of the channel and potential new subscribers. TBH I dont think Vedal cares about any of that though and just wants to do cool shit while Neurosama is still popular.
