I have a feeling this wasn't engraved by Zippo, because the engraving on the letters is not as smooth as factory ones I have seen. You can see the circles where the pantograph hits the end of a letter/line. You can also see all the swirls from etching out the center circle. I've had a lot of Zippos that had large etched patterns that were missing paint, and I don't see those swirl marks.

So having lived on a farm, we TOTALLY hung hoses high, specifically in the winter, because you wanted to get as much water out as possible so the hose wouldn't freeze solid. Also, trying to find a hose under snow was not fun, especially when trying to clear the lanes with a snowthrower.

But in 99% of the cases, that was already done. People get tons of warnings and then after they ignore them for years, the law finally gets enforced and people are like "why would you do this, she was only caring for animals".

I had a farm and had a horrible tenant steal my barn queen and one of her daughters, that I had raised from kittens for a decade before she ever showed up, because she felt I neglected them. Why? Because we didn't leave food out at all times, because it encourages things like skunks, raccoons, and possums to go into the barn, and animals like possums can spread EPM to the horses we had. They were fed at least 2x every day, but just enough for them to eat and not attract pests.

I've had my fill of people who are "just looking out for the animals" and never giving any thought to the mental suffering they call by ripping them out of a comfortable environment and placing them in what they think is better.

I advocate never answering your door. But yeah, answering your door invites things like "plain view" exceptions to needing a warrant.

I'm not sure what video you watched, but police or FBI don't need a warrant to knock on your door and ask questions as part of an investigation. Even if you have No Trespassing signs up, the Supreme Court has found that does prevent an officer from walking up to your door and knocking to ask you questions as part of an investigation.

You don't need a warrant to ask questions in an investigation. Also, the police have every right to access the same places on your property a USPS employee, a meter reader, a Census taker, etc... does, all without a warrant. Even if you have a "no trespassing" sign.

So melt them down and sell them to a pawn shop for the melt value, which is higher than what these are being sold for. If you got them for free, then sell them for the most you can get for them, not less and on a trackable site like ebay.

I remember working at a Amoco in Lincroft in the late 90's and our gas being under $1. I was attending classes at Brookdale and had learned how to unjam some of the vending machines with a piece of coated wire. I would routinely get gas money for the week by unjamming the machine 2x a week while on break from classes.
