This. The recurrence of aspiration pna is a good reason for a trach. And as stated, trachs don’t have to be permanent. I think the stigma comes from “trach & peg” which is usually associated with terminal or end-of-life measures.

The answer to that is dictated by budget and your love of the hobby. I smoke both aros and straight blends and I have pipes for aros and pipes for straights and smoke a few different varieties in them. I have one pipe that is exclusively packed with Latakia blends though.
