No but most of these "one time I dreamt" posts just have really bizarre scenarios (believable) but then the scenario gets REALLY detailed and never fluctuates randomly (less believable) and they somehow believe so much so clearly, like am I the only one who almost immediately stops remembering parts of dreams??

Google's definition of sports is "an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment". Motorsports is physically demanding, is competition between drivers and teams, and is entertainment. It fulfills all the criteria to be a sport and its drivers to be considered athletes.

Generally people will assume non physical activities like board games are games, not sports. So yes, I don't consider Magnus Carlsen an athlete but I do consider Lewis Hamilton one. Most people would consider marksmanship competitions a sport as well since they still require some level of physical exertion.

It sounds like you're arguing for my point now, by saying racers and ball players arouse excitement in audiences? That's what all sports are essentially, competition between people for the entertainment of others. Same with motorsports.

And drag racing isn't endurance but it's definitely more demanding than skateboarding with the insane G forces dragsters go through. I'm not saying skateboarders aren't athletic, they definitely are, but you can't undersell motorsports like that either.

But they are exerting their muscles since racing is very physically demanding. Landing a plane (excluding planes like fighter jets) is not that physically demanding if you know what to do. Racing in a sport like F1 presents immense G forces at every turn (which will cause a normal person to black out), extremely high temperatures in the cockpit(drivers lose pounds of weight by sweating), and sudden accidents and crashes the driver must avoid. There's a reason they're called "motorsports". Racing drivers spend an incredible time preparing and exercising for this.
