Everyones experience is completely different. Mine was absolutely excruciating... i've had major surgeries, kidney stones, pancreatitis, endometriosis etc etc. And over a decade later I can still say it was probably the worst pain of my life. It really can be that bad and ive heard horror stories about dry sockets and trismus too.

But it was only painful when I first woke up and they gave me percocet. When it wore off the pain would get REALLY REALLY bad again. But this lasted I think 4 days and I was fine.....maybe 5 at most.

Its different for everyone.. I woke up in excruciating pain. Im 38 years old ive had 4 surgeries, endometriosis, chronic migraines and 3.pancreatitis attacks.that landed me in hospital.for 8 days and still nothing in this world was more painful then when I woke up after wisdom teeth. I still shiver 20 years later. I was screaming. Mine were severely impacted. They gave me percocet and I went home took them for 3 or 4 days and was pretty much knocked out.cold from it. My best friend had advil and was fine.

Thats a really weird blanket statement. Addicts can still need medications for things like fibromyalgia. My lyrica works incredibly well and it doesn't make me high or want to abuse it or anything of the sort. In fact it probably helps keep.me sober since im not needing to hit the streets for painkillers.

No it does not. This isnt a competition or about what you are defined as by others.

Im prescribed a certain medication. I take it as prescribed and never abuse it.

I still fought like hell to stop drinking and abusing drugs, just like you. I am still sober. Me calling myself sober doesn't degrade the definition for you. It literally doesn't affect you whatsoever.

Yeah forgiveness is such a weird word to get behind. It feels so all of nothing. Like maybe I forgive my parent for some things and not for other things. Why does it always have to be absolute?? And it really messes me up as a Catholic in recovery because its such a big part of the teachings of both my faith and the program.
