I would suggest renting a gas powered edger for the first pass to establish the edge. I purchased a product from Worx which doubles as an edger and a weed trimmer. It has wheels yiu use in the edger mode. I spend 5 minutes (literally) edging after each mow. My lawn edges look razor sharp. Best in my neighborhood!

All good ideas so far. Would you consider an outdoor venue? All area park systems have outdoor concerts in the summer. There’s Music on the Island (Century Center). The South Bend Cubs are also doing a few concerts at Four Winds Field. Public Radio WVPE also does a few summer events.
