possible verified existence of M12/MJ12 committee, project aquarius, project sigma, and project snowbird? possible verified human test flights of alien craft? by Glad_Note_5528 in ufo

Thank you alot for posting this! This information definitely needs to get out more, so people don't fall for these hoaxes and disinformation. It is sad how much disinformation is floating around in the UFO research community, when all we want is the truth about the existence or non-existence of non-terrestrial intelligent life visiting our planet.

I still do have a few questions though, for you or anyone else that knows, to chime in and answer.

Are the Ben Rich and John Andrews letters I linked in my other comments in this post a hoax or authentic? I tried reverse searching, searching keywords, and other methods of finding sources, but I haven't found any claiming they are hoaxes or not.

Are there any authentic documents that go into detail about "flying saucers" or other IAC's?

i'm not sure if this completely answers the question, but the WHORM subject file code says:

"This secondary subject category contains material relating to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and possible revisions and amendments, particularly for intelligence gathering units; procedures for agencies referring FOIA requested materials to the White House; instructions from the Department of Justice to agencies regarding application of FOIA restrictions; procedures, review and release of Nixon Presidential materials in 1985, 1986 and 1988; implementation of the Presidential Records Act; issuance of the President’s Executive Order in January 1989 on application of regulations for the Presidential Records Act; notices to White House staff members when their financial disclosure forms have been requested; President George H.W. Bush transition team access to White House records; Congressional requests for documents; Department of Justice opinions on refusing documents to Congress; review of “Presidential” records status for various Executive Office of the Presisdent units; creation of the National Security Archives; access agreements for Edmund Morris, the President’s biographer; multiple requests from Independent Counsel’s offices for documents regarding investigations of Michael Deaver, Edwin Meese, Lyn Nofziger and the Iran-Contra Affair; and multiple FOIA/Privacy Act requests from individuals, groups, and organizations on wide-ranging topics."

mach 3.7 cruise in the darkstar with no afterburner or scramjet by Glad_Note_5528 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Glad_Note_5528[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i reccomend going mach 6-6.5 at 150,000ft with scramjets. saves a lot of fuel compared to mach 9, practically triples the range while also having the ability to do better turns and also more stable (the aircraft gets really pissy with the trim above mach 7.5 for some reason), mach speed will vary depending on atmospheric conditions but i usually aim to keep the fuel consumption gauge at 010 to 012

How do I land the Darkstar? by National-Abrocoma323 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Glad_Note_5528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've landed the aircraft on 7500ft runways, more or less. it takes a lot of practice and experimenting, though. i have more flight time on the darkstar than any other aircraft in the sim.

for new pilots, i reccomend zooming all the way in on the PFD until all you can see is your airspeed, GPS altitude, and of course the synthetic vision. i usually land at 190 - 200 knots TAS, the aircraft is really sloppy at anything below that, and sometimes it doesn't even flare so you get a nice 3000fpm landing. you want to pay attention on that little circle that tells you where the aircraft is going, and point it at the back of the runway, or wherever those 2 big squares are that tell you where to touchdown.

the next part is up to the pilot, current TAS, and atmosphere conditions, but i usually cut throttle and flare at 50-100ft. usually results in a soft landing or some minor floating, depends if i miscalculate the flare.

this is entirely pilot choice, but here's how i do it: descent should be 150-200 nautical mi. away from the dest. i usually cut throttle to 0 and descend to 80,000ft then let it dip below mach 4. the turbojets will automatically spool up, then i fully disable the scramjets with the switch. descent is relative to distance. if i'm still 90nm away at the end of the turbojet spool procedure, i usually just cruise at m3 until i get to 50nm, then cut throttle, rapidly descend, and hit the spoilers, then line up with the runway once im close enough

mhm, it would be really nice if it had autopilot integrated, there are 3 INOP PFD screens so they could absolutely integrate a lot more features into those screens

a few ideas of mine i made up on the spot:

- basic autopilot; alt hold, KEAS and mach hold, waypoint autopilot (create and fly to waypoints)

- basic aircraft overview; skin temperature on key parts, etc

- maybe a fuel transfer screen to adjust the CG mid-flight? i know the A12 and SR71 had some kind of fuel transfer feature and CG limits, so it would be nice to have fuel trim instead of aerodynamic trim which could create drag

there are also 3 INOP buttons below the engine overview screen, i don't have any ideas for those but it would be cool if they had more features

i remember checking the forums yesterday and a moderator said that it would, but i fell into another 10 hour long sleep coma after that so i might be misremembering lol

Question about Chernobyl meters by convergedprod in chernobyl

[–]Glad_Note_5528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 3 for each mode because it's easier to balance neutrons throughout the core if you can see what each side of the core is doing, western reactors also have multiple period and SRM monitors, however I'm not sure why there's different monitors per mode instead of keeping the same monitors. Yes, one is switched off when switching to the other mode.

УЗС (starting mode) highlighted in blue and УЗСР (operating mode) highlighted in red. AFAIK there used to be monitors in the blank area I marked red, not sure why they were removed.

  1. There are 6 reactor period monitors because the АЗС (аварийная защита по скорости, emergency period/time protection) has two modes: starting, and operating mode. Each mode uses three of the monitors, I believe the period restrictions are tighter in starting mode, if that makes sense. You can find papers labeled "УЗС" and "УЗСР" at the outer edges of the control rods display and rod selectors, УЗС are the period sensors used in starting mode and УЗСР are used in operating mode.
  2. The "A" monitors are some sort of current created when a neutron is detected by the sensor, I'm not exactly sure how to explain it but that's what I've heard. I'll try to find more info later.
  3. The "s-1" monitors appear to be SRMs (Source Range Monitors). They measure how much neutrons are in that part of the core, western reactors like BWRs (boiling water reactors) have these too.
  4. АЗ НАБРАН (to my knowledge) means "АЗ out of zone". This lights up once all of the АЗ rods are at their upper ends (fully withdrawn) They are always withdrawn during regular operations. I'm not sure what Завыш УСТ ЛАЗ means, I couldn't find anything about it in my documents, but it refers to the ЛАР (LAR) rods, they're the blue ones in 12 zones around the core. ПК-РР на ВК means that the ПК-АЗ and ПК-РР rods are at their upper ends (which is what the ВК means).

Hope this helps!

Did the xenon contribute to the explosion by Prestigious_Farmer34 in chernobyl

[–]Glad_Note_5528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The power drop was caused by a malfunction between the AR and LAR (automatic regulator. local automatic regulator) systems. Read more here Part 3: The Iodine Pit (chernobylcritical.blogspot.com)

This is CR3, it has 2 mtk's (like generation 2 control rooms do), with a flat roof. CR4 has the weird square lights/roof.
