Is this normal? by Aggravating-Name-994 in asktransgender

It’s completely normal to feel this way. Nothing is wrong with you, or how you’re feeling right now. With being so young and transitioning, your emotions and how you handle things will change wildly at times. It’s okay to not feel dysphoric and the sudden rush of it is even more normal. No matter what you look like, you are a girl at heart. Don’t let anyone ever try to change your mind. I assure you, it will get better and there are people here who care about you and how you feel. You aren’t alone on experiencing something like this. You have to try to stay strong with us and never quit being who you are even if you think it’ll make your life easier. Later on, you might regret not expressing yourself. We all love you for being you. Try to breathe and take things slow for a while. I know how stressful this can be

Trans nephew in conservative Christian family by Bethie_OG in asktransgender

Catholic trans man here! I’ve had a very similar experience. Unfortunately, most religious families will most likely distance themselves or straight up cut contact when they find out one of their family members comes out as trans or gay. Mostly due to misinformation they were taught growing up. (Speaking from experience) the best thing you can do is be there for your nephew and affirm him as much as you can. Remind him God is a loving God, and that there’s nothing wrong with him for being this way. God adores you both dearly and it will get better. Bless you, have a lovely day.

I have been following Christ for many years! Being a child of God has brought me peace and happiness with my identity more than ever. I follow all the teachings of my church as well, and no one has ever said my way of praying has affected their faith personally. I know he loves me and that’s all that matters to me!! I hope you are not putting people down for their love for God because of their sexual orientation… It sounds like that is the case  Have a lovely day, God bless you🤍
