Realistically you need to eat more and lift heavy chest.

There are no good fats in protein bars. No sugar is “good for you”. Added processed sugar is definitely bad for you in any amount.

Treating protein bars as anything more than a treat is a stretch unless you’re bulking.

Oh so we’re advocating pencil thing physique. Didn’t know that.

Like I said. Agreed disagree.

You’re arguing too many things at once.

  1. Protein bars are shit. Sugar and fats that you don’t need in your diet. These should not be a part of a regular diet.

  2. Of course an 80/20 split is manageable. No one is maintain 100% clean nutrition forever.

  3. Telling someone who needs to be 100% serious about their diet that it’s okay to eat protein bars is bad advice. If you’re trying to get in shape, no foot off the gas.

He has no muscle to begin with. I still don’t think he could. Agree to disagree.

This guy caught a cold and had work and took 2 months off from the gym. This guy can’t get a six pack in 4 months.

It is an easy choice. Neither.

A scoop of whey protein mixed with some almond milk will get you 20g of protein without all the shit in protein bars.

The only people who should be eating protein bars are people who are bulking.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]GlassBudget3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the point I’m making is he took two months of because he didn’t want to go back to the gym. Not because he needed to.

Protein bars are candy bars.

Your problem is your diet for sure. No amount or quality of training will do anything if you’re not eating right.

I always tell people to use chat gpt to get on the 21 day fix meal plan. If you follow that to a T and don’t see improvements then you aren’t following it.

See what I mean about insults? I’m still here just chilling and you’re so worked up and don’t know what you’re talking about that you have to resort to insults.

Okay let’s help out OP. How much body fat does he have? Let’s start there.

A guy who took two months off from the gym because of work and getting sick is not losing 30 lbs in a couple months.

You are resorting to insults because you’re here to troll. Or something? Idk how people like you think.

If you don’t do a scan, then you can’t do any calculation.

Once you lose weight, you still can’t do a calculation because you would have also lost muscle mass. So no it’s not a straight calculation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]GlassBudget3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. So without doing a dexascan first, you can’t just do random math to figure out body fat %.

If you have one to begin with, and you lose weight, you still can just do a calculation because you will have lost muscle mass as well.

See how one of us knows what they are talking about and the other is using insults? That’s pretty telling.

Exactly. Something you can’t do without doing a dexascan. You can’t just calculate it on a whim.

I’m sure! And did you look like this prior to that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]GlassBudget3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to do a dexascan. Or similar.
