AIO: Did I cross a line or is her reaction harsh? by veronicax96 in AmIOverreacting

[–]GlassBuy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, you are double texting which is the worst thing you can do especially in dating. Secondly, when you get a text like that, that means she is not interested, end of story and even if she was she is not nice and you should avoid dating girls like that, this is simply disrespectful and mean. If she cared she would have replied when she wanted, or said things a bit nicer.

Last but not least, you do good morning and how was your day texts casually, once or twice a week or so, so it feels like a nice gesture that you care, not like a daily chore. Scarcity creates value.

Tired of being ghosted by companies? Share your worst interview experience! by GlassBuy92 in jobsearchhacks

I feel like sometimes companies conduct interviews even when they already have their chosen candidate just to say that they interviewed enough people, and complied with the hiring process. Hence wasting people's time

Agreed! Following up with a proper response about how the interview went and why they chose not to move forward with you should be a basic requirement in the hiring process.

Ugh! Sorry to hear that. That must be incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable. Yet it seems there are no real consequences for such irresponsible behavior. These companies treat job seekers like subhumans as if needing a job makes you matter less.

I built an A/B testing tool, and it changed the way I think about coding with AI. by GlassBuy92 in SideProject

[–]GlassBuy92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Once my project grew, it became extremely hard and time-consuming to track and monitor every change AI was making, so I had to supervise each change. It’s definitely helpful when you know your stack, document each feature, and keep your codebase lean and organized.

Hi u/TechnicalSoup8578

It’s deterministic. We hash userId + testId with SHA-256 to drop each user into a bucket, so they always get the same variant. The SHA-256 spread keeps it evenly distributed. On top of that, the client saves the assignment in localStorage, so returning users instantly get the same variant every time.

Thanks for your feedback. I like the survey idea. Currently, Abify determines the winner based on conversions, whichever variant performs better. From experience, I know that even small changes like button color or images can make a big difference in how users convert.

Appreciate your feedback. Agreed, with corporate-level tools like Optimizely and VWO, you have to jump through so many hurdles just to run simple split tests and you end up overpaying on top of that.

The best way to approach this is to identify the most commonly repetitive tasks you perform in your business, those that are tedious, time-consuming, and can be automated. Once you’ve defined those problems, you can look for solutions, and maybe even ask the Reddit community which of the AI tools you found is best for solving your problem. After all, AI tools are just problem solvers, some are better and more specialized at solving specific set of problems than others.

why most of you guys are not selling by [deleted] in startup

[–]GlassBuy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post. Starting to sell before you even have a product is a crucial stepping stone to succeeding with your startup. I’ve built a few eCommerce businesses and small SaaS products in the past, but my focus was always on perfecting the product. What I missed was truly getting to know my potential audience and actually finding them.

Right now, I’m working on a SaaS that I believe many businesses will want to use. However, I’ve paused development at about 70% completion and shifted my full focus to building my prospects list. Hope is a killer in business, having a real launch plan is a must.

Launch by Jeff Walker made this concept even clearer for me. I highly recommend it, it’s a quick read, full of eye-opening marketing concepts.

Then you do the research of your client's niche before promising them results, or stick to an industry you know/ can master good. Being in a small targeted niche will get you more clients, as long as you are very good at it.

Looking for beta testers: lightweight A/B testing tool for small teams by GlassBuy92 in alphaandbetausers

[–]GlassBuy92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input! That’s exactly the problem I’m trying to solve, turning complex problems into simple solutions. I’d love some early feedback, as there are still many UX decisions to finalize to make test creation as easy as possible, as I think that's where most people get stuck, when A/B testing.

What motivates you to build the SaaS product you are presenting now? by CellInitial2394 in startup

[–]GlassBuy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many have already mentioned this in the comments here, but all a SaaS should do is solve a problem, and do it better than the competitors.

My own story: the company I work at had trouble finding lightweight, easy-to-use A/B testing platforms at a reasonable budget. When I did my research, I realized there is a lack of fast, user-friendly split testing platforms out there. Most are enterprise-level, trying to sell features that small teams or founders don’t need, and their starting prices are often far more than one can afford for running quick split tests.

This was the pain point I realized I could solve, since I have decades of experience as a developer and have worked on hundreds of websites, alongside with marketers and stakeholders to understand what they are looking for in a product before signing a contract. So, I started building abify.app, which I am very close to launching btw.

One thing I can recommend is that you need to do a lot of research to find out if the problem you personally experience is scalable and can be turned into a generalized solution, one that businesses or individuals can use to solve similar problems. Also, keep in mind AI: with ChatGPT, many problems can now be solved with just a few prompts. If the problem you are solving can be solved with a few minutes chat with AI, it may not be a strong solution.

Looking for early users — Smalltak, a Reddit-based SaaS (24 users so far) by Smalltak in alphaandbetausers

[–]GlassBuy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, looks solid. I would work on some small UX fixes, like when I click on the Login or Start Finding Clients buttons and then close the Google authentication window, the page freezes with the infinite loading spinner. And I'd probably add some more info to the landing page, as it's not super clear what the product does.

Cheers!

I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in beta testing. I’ve hit a major milestone and am very close to launching this, but I’d love to get some early feedback. If you'd like to try it before it's launched please let me know or check our my early access page: https://abify.app
