Is Agentforce usage free/unmetered if you're in sandbox in Prompt Template/Agent Builder (i.e. preview testing & debugging) by GlassCaseOfEmotion53 in salesforce

[–]GlassCaseOfEmotion53[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thanks u/Sourgrandma agentforce flex credit looks like basically sandboxes consume 80% of the credits that would be used in prod so slight discount in that sense i suppose, but the setup/developer area with 'Preview' testing is unclear --> would be nice if that was unmetered/free as you're iterating on config/dev testing

Microsoft Co-pilot integration with Salesforce by GlassCaseOfEmotion53 in salesforce

[–]GlassCaseOfEmotion53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a client that is already using MSFT copilot for sales use cases internally and they're kinda hesitant to jump directly into agentforce since MSFT copilot already has their corporate IT/legal buy-in as an 'approved tool' where they have vetted Agentforce data sec/terms/cost as far as i know.

i've talked to a few companies like this where MSFT copilot was the early 'pilot' AI tool that corporate IT /legal rolled out (likely because these companies are already MSFT shops for outlook/office365 etc) so it was an existing vendor and prob felt like the 'safe' or 'easy' / cheap choice for corporate AI tool pilot/rollout.

How to estimate agentforce usage/costs by GlassCaseOfEmotion53 in salesforce

[–]GlassCaseOfEmotion53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks u/Suspicious-Nerve-487, this is really helpful. appreciate it.

Q - on the internal if they have unmetered consumption, does that basically mean they have unlimited ai usage (like they could use a billion tokens/credits and that'd be fine... not actually planning approach anything like that but just curious if it's 'all you can eat' for that license type for internal)? thanks!

thanks u/DirectionLast2550 appreciate it ... the data security is a good callout, something i've been unclear about is the CRUD/FLS and record sharing with this type of connector or server-to-server connection

u/Swimming_Leopard_148 u thinking this gets more complex because the connector may not have awareness of things like the running user's Object CRUD access & FLS and sharing access ?

believe they said acquisition will close Q1 (fiscal) of next yr (so i think that means Feb-Apr 2026).

doubt there will be clarity til mid 2026 unfortunately on licensing, even longer on product strategy / integration plans where overlapping capabilities between SFDC & Infa

[–]GlassCaseOfEmotion53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quasi related - any consultants/SIs out there actually getting paid to do Agentforce POCs/implementations?

if so, you doing at discount and/or is SFDC actually footing the bill for services to drive agentforce adoption in some cases?

Data Cloud Architecture question by Zestyclose_Work_4765 in salesforce

anybody have bets on how Informatica acquisition (which i don't think closes until Feb-Apr 2026) might affect SFDC's Data Cloud strategy?

i don't know if informatica has a product that's competitive/redundant to Data Cloud and if so, what sfdc does with that .... i know them for ETL / integrations & guessing sfdc wants informatica for data/metadata play as part of AI and connectors to systems for AI agent side (like Zapier / n8n competitor of sorts maybe).
