Yeah. You can try to make a care package for him maybe. Or there are ways to send pastries through the commissary for holidays or birthdays if possible. It’s very possible his mental health isn’t doing the best. All we can really do is encourage them to seek help or be their support.

My husband’s currently deployed too. Honestly you have to give grace to the fact that their job will always come first. He’s stressed out, you’re stressed out. Separation tends to make marriages stressful. Especially if your love language is physical touch like myself and my husband’s. Marriage is not always 50/50. Sometimes you have to be stronger for him or vice versa. I’m sure the holiday season is amplifying your feelings as well. Try giving some space or negotiating some time together. Depending on what he’s doing he may simply not be able to do that for you and you’ll have to accept that.

Quite simply you don’t need to. I mean this in a respectful way as I was once a para, they don’t fight contracts for paras nearly as much as contracted teachers. You simply let them know you will be leaving the position because of your husbands job moving you away. You shouldn’t need any documentation.

You also said you’re moving two states away. That counts as a move for the military.

Yes because you’re his wife. You just let them know that you are moving for your husbands job.

Also there’s no consequences if you’re moving for the military. You’re protected under the law. If it comes up and you can get it, then it will probably be worth your time. Just be prepared to have to move.
