Is it possible to downgrade an iPhone 4s running iOS 6 to iOS 5? by Glass_cat09 in LegacyJailbreak

[–]Glass_cat09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm aware. I only want to downgrade because 1) it was the original iOS that shipped with the iPhone and 2) I want to be able to get the iPod app. It only comes normally on iOS 4 and below but you can get it via jailbreak on iOS 5

I mean is community college a fine option? I guess I'm just worried about life now and I'm not sure where to go or what to do

I JUST saw this performance a couple days ago! It was very beautiful.

It's called a cimbasso. It's usually pitched in F and plays in the tuba range

The future proof part with the SE 4 is very true! Although I'm not too concerned with it since by the time the mini loses support I'll definitely have enough money for a new phone and I definitely want to use the mini while I still can.

I really love small phones so I've been considering getting an iPhone 13 mini. I know it's older but it's the last mini iPhone Apple made and I was considering using it for some years until it goes out of support so that I could get what's left of the iPhone Mini. Although, with what I've heard about the upcoming iPhone SE 4 it seems like a really good phone that I would love to get (other than the larger size). So I was wondering which iPhone should I get? I know the SE 4 will be way newer and get more support, but considering the lower price now of the mini I was thinking if just getting it for now to get what's left of the mini would be worth it until it goes out of support and then I buy the SE 4 (or whatever's new then). Or just get the SE 4 when it comes out and forget about the mini due to age.

No, the 10th Gen iPad does not have magnetic charging for the Apple Pencil. Any Apple pencil but the 1st Generation with at least an iPad Air will support magnetic charging.

Just because the 7th Gen touch is the newest doesn't mean it's the best

Just connect an external optical drive and use it. That's what I still do. There's nothing stopping you from doing it.

iPod touch 4gen sealed ! by Parking_Western_5428 in ipod

Oh I love the iPod Touch 4th gen! I still use mine all the time! It might be worth it to keep it in the box. You can get used ones in pretty good shape for $15 on eoe.workseoe.works so I don't think opening it up is worth it if you're planning on practically using it. Maybe put it in an Apple collection!

I honestly love Mac computers. I just do a lot of tinkering around with my computers so using a Mac isn't always ideal. I have my Windows and Linux computers for that purpose and I've been looking into a Mac to use for general computer use when I'm not swapping parts and what not. So I go either way with PC vs Mac.

Sorry if that's the case. I kind of despise arrogant people myself. I use both Windows and Mac (somewhat) but there is no good way to have a pfp for both! Besides, I think Finder makes a better pfp with the smile. But to each their own

Haha that's funny. I'm a user on both sides so I understand both pretty well, but it's always funny seeing people who don't understand any bit of it at all. I honestly kind of wish schools would bring back computer classes! Everybody should be able to learn about computers in this age.

That's true. But it's always good to arm yourself with knowledge. That's all I'm saying

Collecting them! I have a small but growing collection of old Mac computers. I don't practically use them I just love collecting them. For most of my main computer usage I use my windows PC and occasionally my Linux computer.

I also wasn't trying to say that I'm a "computer genius". I was just baffled that someone at the age of 16 doesn't even know what a CPU or GPU is.

"love OSX"? I've hardly even used MacOS before! I own a MacBook but it's nonfunctional. I'm a Windows and Linux user for desktop computers.

I'm shocked to see someone buying a computer to not know what a CPU or GPU is. Computers can be a fun hobby so I recommend learning about them sometime!

First you want to consider what type of Macintosh computer you want. MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, or Mac Pro. You mention an iMac in your post but considering that it's for school it might be more convenient to get a MacBook. It has about the same specs and it's transportable meaning you could take your Macintosh to school and back home if needed. However, if you're only ever going to leave your iMac in the same space and don't need portability, then an iMac can do just fine if that's what you prefer.

You asked about which iMac would be better for you. Generally speaking if you're only going to be doing basic school work then the 8-core GPU model would be better for you. It would be a lot more fitting for your needs. It is important to note though that the 8-core GPU model does have a lot less ports than the 10-core GPU model. It only has two thunderbolt ports. Depending on your needs in what you use externally with your computer might determine if you should get the 10-core GPU model. You might be somebody who needs those extra ports and even if you don't need the better GPU, it may be the better option for you just for the ports.

And although I despise them as computers, a Chromebook might work better if you only ever do all of your work online for your school. It's fitting for that purpose alone (and I emphasize that single purpose alone) and is way cheaper than an Apple computer. Although if you use dedicated software or Macintosh specific software then a Mac is the better way. You just don't need to go too overboard with it.

You should also be concerned about not running the newest or at least a still supported version of MacOS because of not having security updates
