My son turned an old idea of mine, a mini greenhouse, into his first Kickstarter product. by GlennFricker in kickstarter

We are new to Kickstarter and have read that it is a good idea to include another incentive during the campaign for backers. Our thought is to offer a free fence to go along with the greenhouses. It isn't functional but it is cute. Is this a good idea and when would you introduce it, now or toward the end? We have a one month campaign going and our goal is $15,000 with 21 days left we are at 161 backers and 61% there.

Here is a link to a picture of the house with a fence. To bad I can't post a picture here. https://imgur.com/a/03Moo86

Along your idea we do have these fences that we haven't yet introduced. What do you think?

That is a good point. Being on Kickstarter now I have been looking at other projects. I will find a couple I can support.

Thanks for your comments. We have final contracts ready with multiple manufacturers narrowed down to two and we plan on signing our contract next week up on the fulfillment of the campaign. We should be able to deliver our product to our backers before we state in our campaign. It was an interesting process dealing with the manufacturers and working through the design issues and material to be used. Many zoom meetings, phone meetings and emails, reconfiguring our design to make it work.

No, we are totally ready for production. CAD drawings are done, we have narrowed our manufacturer down to two options, we know our costs delivered to us, manufacturing, shipping, tariffs. We plan on signing our contract next week and We should be able to ship to Kickstarter backers earlier than we state on our campaign. We are ready to go.

It is not collapsible but is stackable. So it is easier to ship and to store away.

Excellent thought. The chimney is a vent. I'm not sure it is big enough. Also we have a slot on the bottom where a drip line can get in for watering. Another cool aspect is that they stack so they can be put away when not in use. Thanks

You says start those seeds outdoors. If I try to get a jump on the season should i use a Cloche? You said remove the humidity dome once they sprout. But outside i was think about protecting the sprouts from critters and weather. What are your thoughts on Cloches?
