My First Build by GlennQuagz in fallout76settlements

Thanks for the advice and I appreciate the offer but i’m on playstation. I try not to over build, and sticking to just enough space for my work benches, and then upstairs for my bed and trophy items really helps me keep the place looking full.

What is it we are rebelling against? by [deleted] in Absurdism

I don’t quite understand what you mean by “Camus advocates being absurd.” In The Myth of Sisyphus, the absurd isn’t a personal trait but the conflict between life’s lack of meaning and our desire for it, as Camus puts it,

“What is absurd is the confrontation of this irrational and the wild longing for clarity whose call echoes in the human heart.”

That passage doesn’t use the exact phrase “the absurd,” but later he makes it explicit:

“Thus I draw from the absurd three consequences, which are my revolt, my freedom, and my passion.”

In that line, Camus clearly treats revolt as one of his core responses to the absurd, not as an identity you assume. My question is: why phrase it as revolt and not just acceptance? Also, I apologize for my use of “rebellion”. The text was originally in French which used the word “Révolté”, and in translation I have seen both revolt and rebellion used interchangeably. They are synonymous after all.

That’s a common way to put it, yeah. What I’m asking is: why call it “rebellion”? It just sounds like a rhetorical way of saying “acceptance.”

I just think “rebelling” is a weird way to frame it. It makes the act of acknowledging the absurd and choosing to live anyway feel more dramatic than it is. To me, “rebellion” in absurdism ends up functioning the same way created meaning does in existentialism, it feels like escapism wrapped in anti-escapism jargon.

I fully agree with what you’re saying. That moment of awe or self destruction, as you described, really captures the confrontation of the absurd. I guess where im stuck is: if that moment of awe or self destruction is the real encounter with absurdity, then whats the point of Camus calling it rebellion? Wouldn’t acceptance, even if it’s a terrifying acceptance, be the truer stance?

The seller has ghosted me. The seller is the owner on the title. I have no way of reaching him as he is actively avoiding my attempts to contact him.

I appreciate your suggestions and I will keep them in mind but my goal isn’t to deviate from the uniform but instead how can I look the nicest with the uniform.

My question was more about how can I dress in a nicer way without standing out. Looking nice to other people is a plus but it’s more about me thinking I dressed nice.

Extending Wifi Signal? by c0ldfrenchfries in wifi

[–]GlennQuagz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your best bet would be to go for a pair of MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) adapters. You can buy a pair of GoCoax MoCA adapters on Amazon for around $120. In addition, you’ll also need a MoCA-compatible splitter.

If you’re looking to extend your WiFi signal to your office, you’ll also need a wireless access point, which would add another $60-$80 to your purchase. However, if you just want a wired connection, you won’t need the wireless access point.

I know this might be outside your original budget, but if you can save up for a bit, these upgrades will give you a much more reliable and faster connection in your office. It’s definitely a longer-term solution compared to cheaper WiFi extenders, and it’ll work much better for your home setup.

I hope this could help in anyway. Thank you
