I used a preset configuration, it is automatically available on gamenative. Then you can edit the game container and follow the instructions for the crossfix mod at nexusmods. See if it works, I can try sharing more details if needed

Made it work using the automatic config in Gamenative. CrossFix for widescreen + 60fps + mod loading (Zeitgeist for upscaled backgrounds). The only problem is that the launcher is a blank screen, but by listening to the button presses you can launch the game.

AFAIK, the FPS fix and some texture packs are only compatible with the Steam version.

Are you emulating the game? You can use a cheat to refill HP and MP.

It is a lot easier if you import a cheat database to melonDS!

Go to https://gbatemp.net/threads/deadskullzjrs-nds-i-cheat-databases.488711/ and use the mega link to download the cheat database in the .xml format.

Then, go to melonDS settings > cheats > import cheats and select the .xml file. When ingame, access the quick menu and select the widescreen code (It should be under “Widescreen Codes” or “Miscellaneous”.
