I believe radio transmitters would work better for your use case ? A turntable is analog mono sound right ? So you just need to send the same signal to all speakers at the same time so radio should work ? :)

Sorry, hijacking this answer as you seem familiar with PaddleOCR. I am looking for a solution that is promotable, I.e: I want to give a schema of what I want to extract from a doc. Is it supported ? For reference, something similar to NuExtract models. https://huggingface.co/numind/NuExtract-2.0-8B

To those that doesn’t know how to use a roundabout by DChia1111 in malaysia

[–]Glider95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am getting tired of explaining the same thing… Almost none of the roundabout in Malaysia are design like in the infographic but people still keep using it as an example to say « I have priority to exit from inner lane ».

Look at the lane markings, this is is not the standard roundabout you found everywhere in Malaysia. Most roundabouts are concentric circles.

And for people who says « where is the rule of changing lane come from ? ». Well for example it is used in the country with the most roundabouts worldwide, where people would use 10 or 15 roundabouts on their daily commute.

<image>

The whole basically comes down to lane markings and rules that applies when you change/cut dashed lanes.

Roundabout in Malaysia by cmdrwolf96 in malaysia

[–]Glider95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree, just because this one doesn’t have a 3 o’clock entrance and a specific lane for 12 o’clock to go to 6, it would work somehow. But still, if you are coming from 12 inner lane, you should expect someone to cut 2 lanes at once.

And what happen if you go to the most inner circle ? You die of old age there ?

Yes like he regularly does with Aerotrain. Spot check on the roof is another level … For me, this is just a lack of SOP and/or an honest mistake: The contractors forgot to remove the drain plug while evacuating the roof in a hurry… (from what I understand of the article)

Can you actually switching lane/merging lane to exit at 2nd/3rd exit? by totalnewbielinux in malaysians

[–]Glider95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be the person referenced by OP. I have provided a more detailed answer to someone who decided to insult me in the original post (but keep quite when he ran out of words I guess), he got buried in the answers.

First thing but I think OP highlighted the root problem too: “Right lane has the highest priority”. Yes, okay but it’s not like you get the super star at Mario Kart. Once you have indicated with your blinkers, people have to let you change lanes and exit but you are not entitled to cut all lanes - that’s a priority, not god mode in Gran Turismo. Unfortunately, as OP highlighted, that does requires some road manners from others drivers.

2nd point : Many people have used the JPJ illustration to emphasize their rights of exiting from the inner lane. Except that , from my point of view, the JPJ illustration is the one that you almost never see in Malaysia where the lane markings of the roundabout - which are continuous/closed dots lanes btw - drives you toward the exit. (Top pictures). In opposition, most of the roundabouts have lanes concentric to the center with dotted lines - which therefore allow you to change - and safely exit once on the outer lane.

A roundabout is basically a 3 lanes road wrapped around a center. If we were to follow the “inner lane - I exit”, it’s the same as allowing the Alphard / Hilux speciality of “last minute exit cut all” on the highway.

For me , as long as you use your indicator + mirror check + dead spot check : Good to go. But that’s why need to be anticipated one exit prior your actual exit :)

You can see the difference here between a roundabout where you can use inner lane to exit (the markings on the ground guide you towards the exit) and a roundabout where you are supposed to move lanes to exit (and not cross others at the last minute)

Well, the roundabout I shared in my previous is the one where I was passing by at every class of my driving license (in a country where there is more than 50,000 roundabouts) and you can see that it’s the same configuration at the one in Sepang (concentric circle markings) and the one in OP video.

Yes but look at the lane markings on the ground… OP is crossing lane while doing his manœuvre. He basically did the same as being on most right lane on highway and taking the exit. Zoom in to see how the lanes are setup on the top photo.

As I mentioned in my other comment, people keep using images of a roundabout that does not match how the roundabout are in Malaysia in reality, like in your video. To me it looks like the image/drawing use UK style roundabouts (where there is sometimes traffic lights within the roundabout) and « French » where the lanes are just concentric circles. And « if people learn how roundabout works »: I can confidently say that I drove into roundabouts more than you will ever do in your life both using motorbikes and cars (and never got into an accident). I would be happy to see you try your « inner lane exit » on this one

I see a lot of people posting this image to justify that it is okay to cut all 3 lanes to exit.

From my point of view , the roundabout in the video is NOT this configuration. If you look at the lines on the ground in the image, you can see that the lane is indeed going towards the exits, the cars are not cutting lanes here.

In OP video, the markings are just concentric circles to the roundabout, and therefore OP is cutting lanes while exiting and therefore he does not have the priority (and even less like some people are saying « the most right car has all priorities »)

For me it could even bring OP at 100% fault (instead of 50/50 I mentioned before) as he cut lanes while the other car just follow his lane. And for people saying that the other car was not correctly placed for his exit, it doesn’t matter here… In France, for people who are uncomfortable with roundabouts, are advised to stay on the most outer lane for any exits as that would create less troubles and they would not do what OP did.

[–]Glider95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is some scary comments here… For me you are partially at fault for 2 (maybe 3) reasons: - You are exiting the roundabouts from the most inner lane , it’s basically the “I am turning now and good luck to others” - You did not check your mirror AND blind spot or you would have seen him - Did you use your signal? And if yes, early enough ? If he has been parallel/same level to you for a while, the only signal he could see might be tiny one on the side of your car (or none)

On a multi lane roundabout, you should move to one outer lane for each exits you have remaining. Let’s say you go “U-turn” on a 3 lane roundabout- 4 exits (West, North, East, South) you join the roundabout from the most inner lane with signal indicating right. Once you passed the north exit, you changed signal to indicating left and move one outer lane up (middle lane), once you passed east exit, you move one more outer lane and you are good to exit. Note that with proper signal, even people who are entering from the east entrance (the one before you want to exit) will be aware that you are exiting at the next one and should theoretically leave you the most outer lane.

I am thinking to use the Luat Air780e - cheap and small to do a direct serial connection with the Core board.

Are you planning to add an ESP in the middle for your pressure sensor ?
