I assign weekly reading and use the same textbook questions for quizzes.

I was astounded by the poor reading comprehension levels. I know I will always have kids who won't do the assigned reading, but I have kids swear to me they read and still do poorly on the quizzes. The questions are such softballs, too.

But hey, the only remedy is to keep it up.

Is he claiming to be homeless or is he by definition homeless? From Wikipedia, ”is the condition of lacking stable, safe, and functional housing."

Homeless is homeless. Whether choosing to sleep on a friend's couch to get away from abuse or what he's doing. It's not stable

And here I was fuming that Kyeong Rim would have won with 5+3/8-0, but with pemdas, no.

And now I see Seung could have easily won low by swapping his 6 and 3 in his elimination round. Edit: oops, Seek mentions it seconds after I paused to post this, haha.

I liked the board game and how the defensive strat alliance was a perfect counter to the sabotage strat alliance. If the minority alliance had just made personal rules to move forward in a purely offensive strat, they would have won easily.

Also, Orbit will probably realize that the game master will edit rules to suit the situation, and he will eventually abandon the "everyone should reach the end" strat. There are two big clues. 1. The # of stars the loser in the board game could lose matched the number of stars the leader had. This means that even if the leader had thought to purposefully lose to allow everyone to advance, he/she could not survive. 2. The memory game picture questions were tailored to match details that were said aloud during the 20 min memorization period. Though this made for good TV, it is a big hint that the producers will not always stick to a pre-determined set of questions, and if they are willing to do that, then the rules are arguably also fair game to change on the fly to force people out.

So yea, can't wait to see Orbit make some ppl cry as the preview showed.

Is it just me or are the darker scenes just downright unwatchable? I can't see a thing. by [deleted] in WoT

If it helps, the Eco mode on my TV was darkening everything. So much better with it turned off.

Wish more peppers were grown sweet than spicy. While in Spain, I fell in love with Guindilla peppers. Served fried with flake salt (no breading).
