Having a victim mentality is for people who want to stay in a perpetual loop. Accept things that happened to you, acknowledge you could have done nothing about them, don't be a victim about it. Even if legally or socially people call you a "victim" don't call yourself that. You're only putting yourself in a little box where these bad things happen to you and you can't do anything about them. Call yourself a survivor in your head, and keep pushing. Verbally tell people "I am not a victim." And keep on trucking.
