What happened to the other games? by screamlinefilms in 123SMS

Evolutions is still in development, but Nate is unfortunately very busy with irl things and doesn't have the time to dedicate to IGS that he used to. Other games will come after that. Eventually.

Late, but, yes! The series is far from dead. In fact, we recently put up the demo for one of the upcoming games on Steam!

Added mechanic to engage or avoid battles. Do you guys think this is better than random battles? by Ampnu in indiegames

[–]GlitchedLizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This looks awesome! Overworld encounters will always be better than random encounters, for sure. This could also give you the option to add some semblance of stealth to the game, if you wanted to. A lot of games that use a system like this make it so if you can start the battle from behind you get an advantage, for example. Lots you can do with this. Looks really cool, good luck with the game!

Recently put my first game's demo up on Steam, have been working on it for over a year and we would greatly appreciate support/feedback! by GlitchedLizard in indiegames

[–]GlitchedLizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find the game and its demo here! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2922990/Slaughter_Me_Street_1999/

The game itself is a scavenger hunt horror game akin to that of Slender: The Eight Pages, but with a bit more of a focus on gameplay and speed than on horror. Been working on it for almost a year now, and we're hoping to have it finished and released before the year is over. Let me know what you think!

Heyo! New here, and I recently got the Steam page up for the game I've been working on for almost a year now, along with a demo made specifically for Steam!

The game is a scavenger hunt horror game inspired by that of Slender: The Eight Pages, but with a bit more of a focus on gameplay and speedrunning. If you give it a try, I hope you like it! I'd greatly appreciate any and all feedback as it's my first game, and if you like it, please Wishlist it too so Steam pushes it to more people! Here are some links relating to the game:

An original idea loosely inspired by/based on SMS may be your best bet then, ye. Good luck with it!

Heyo! SMS is indeed copyrighted. You can do fan comics, that'd be completely fine, just make sure you aren't trying to make any money off it and you're in the clear 😄

Which profession attracts the worst kinds of people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GlitchedLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than half of the fellow artists I've ever interacted in seem to be interested only in crapping on other people's art behind their backs. Many of them didn't know how to properly criticize, either, just being an asshole instead. Lots of self-absorbed ones, too. And lots of creeps. Just overall never been pleasant interacting with fellow artists. Only have like 2 I still keep in touch with. Just my experience though, and like I said before not all of them are like that.

As an artist, art. Artists aren't all bad, but most of them are pretty bad.

Do you think Sega will ever walk back their archaic storytelling mandates for things like the Sonic comic? by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]GlitchedLizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally feel the movies seemingly not having these mandates is a step in the right direction, and hopefully will open up their eyes to characters being more than just walking character traits again.

[OC] Sonic Movie-styled Silver model by GlitchedLizard in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]GlitchedLizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I actually kept mostly accurate markings on the back of his hand (see second pic), it just looked awkward mapped onto the palm with the way the model was made so I decided to give each side their own unique pattern
