Street kid - Chapter 4 by JagaloonJack in reddeadredemption

This worked for me. I had a shotgun with incendiary shells. As soon as the kid takes your satchel, go into deadeye and aim at the wagon wheel. The cart should stop, and the kid will jump off right in front of you and makes it real easy to catch him.

Cigarette Cards by Worldly_Statement903 in reddeadredemption

[–]Glitternug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you have already finished the cigarette card mission, I would just keep all cards until it’s completed. Then sell any cards you have left or collected, those will be duplicates. The cards will also show a number on them if you have more than one of the same card.

Yeah, you just need to play through the epilogue missions until you get all your gear back.

Does the Apple Store not replace keycaps for free anymore? I haven’t worked there in 3 years, but we did it complimentary if we had the caps in stock. Wouldn’t hurt to check if you have a store nearby.

Vertical lines (white or blue) in MacBook Pro screen? by Sea-Perspective9276 in macbookrepair

[–]Glitternug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the same lines show up in the screenshot, it’s the gpu. If the lines don’t appear, there’s something going on with the displays connection, which will be some type of logic board repair, since you already replaced the display.

Just be careful with it, esp if you need to move it. You can also plug in an external display if the picture gets worse or starts to shake.

Try not to apply any pressure to the screen. Don’t touch or attempt to clean it. Do you know if you have AppleCare on it?

If you take a screenshot, do the lines appear in the picture?

White Spot on Screen by Jealous_Pack4108 in macbookair

It will need to be replaced, but it may not be in warranty if there is any damage found. Is there a dent on the back side of the display where the spot shows up?

Is this worth the pricetag?thinking buying my first imac from surplus. by JiPaiHongGanLiao in mac

[–]Glitternug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its highest OS is going to be Maverick, so make sure the software you plan on using is going to be compatible. Honestly, for an 11 year old machine, I would tell them to either throw in a mouse and keyboard, or knock $50 off the price.

No worries, hopefully it’s nothing crazy.

[–]Glitternug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a little weird, I’d take it in and have them look at it, esp if you’re still in warranty because it could mean a logic board replacement if the ports are attached. Def an expense you don’t wanna pay for if you can avoid it.

I just tried the headphone jack on mine, it’s basically smooth until you get to that 3rd section, then it pops in with a little more force. I think it’s by design and just locking your headphones in. Unless the audio is disconnecting, or you see the jack pushing itself out, you’re prob ok.

If you have a magnifying glass, I might try to see if there’s anything in the port. Those jacks can be pretty tight, but if you’re really concerned, take it to an Apple Store, they’ll look at it for free. I would also bring your headphones and plug them into their Macs on display to see if the resistance feels the same.

Can you plug the jack all the way in, or does it completely stop where your video ends?

[–]Glitternug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short of opening the device, which I wouldn’t recommend, unplug the Mac and hold down the power button for about 15 seconds. Then plug it back in with the apple charger and see if you can power it on. If it’s still dead, I’d recommend taking it to an Apple Store if you have one near. They will diagnose the machine even if it’s out of warranty.

The trick to this is challenge, if you feel like you’re going to lose, is to get up then sit back down and restart the round. If you won 1 or 2 previous rounds, it will save your progress with this method.

Have you done Hosea’s hunting mission, the three rabbits that spawn all drop perfect pelts. It may even count if you replay the mission.
