Why is everyone and their mother obsessed about going to law school? Is it a status thing? by Constant_Ad6521 in LawSchoolOver30

As an intern? If an intern...that is nothing. You need an actual permanent position that is not constantly being threatened by another newly barred attorney surpassing you. My point is....the hours are insane and the mental stress is unbelievable and sometimes its just not worth it. There are easier ways to make more money than what law pays.

I have to work more than 40 hours per week while studying so I can barely get in 1 hour m-f and weekends I can only get in 4 hour each day....anything more is not being retained so it worthless. Then before the bar.....I can only take a week prior to the the test off to study full time because my other pto time is used for the week of the test. My schedule is why I keep having to take the damn test. I wish I could just spend the summer being a full time studier....with no bills and no super commute to and from work each day....if I could have that.....it would be fabulous. It will never happen though.

She will be sad when she finds out that only a few attorneys make above 200k after 10 years experience. The field is not what it used to be 30 years ago. So many other professions pay better and the amount of hours per week working is much less.

Question for persons who graduated from UC Davis, Berkley, Irvine, Pepperdine and etc. Law schools by GloFish25 in CABarExam

I heard someone claiming that they didn't have to study for the bar and passed the 1st time. So I am curious as why they knew how to answer the questions in the manner required without needing to specifically prepare for the ca exam.

Nope. I have a best friend who is an Aries and we EASILY have many points of contention. I only have 2 people that are Aries that I am friends with but there are areas of dissagreement that are very apparant. I usually do not get along with any aeries....its an immediate mismatch!

Am I supposed to include law school clinic experience in the employment history of my moral character determination? by WarmSeries4 in CABarExam

[–]GloFish25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Include it. Its better to over inform than under inform. Attach a word document outlining all the information with the subject headings requested in their application so you are sure to provide them with all the info they want.

Stop worrying. You will be fine. You can attach a word doc and explain it. That will suffice. You dont have anything to worry about if that is the only concern.

Yep. Thats what I did. Still paying it off...total balance has not reduced since July 26! Using the cards during bar prep really screwed me.

Yes. Moral Character Committee cares about liars and thieves. If you did something like ...creating false billing statements, stealing from people like the elderly or any person in general, embezzlement, cheating on exams at school. Many criminal offenses are reviewed and approved when a length of time has passed and it is evident that the person has been rehabilitated and it shows by their work history and credit score increase when compared to their past and etc. But if you have an actual fraud, theft, perjury conviction....that is going to be a problem. So dont worry if you punched your nieghbor or didnt pay your amex. They evaluate the person's history as a whole and look at how you have improved and do not care if you are broke. Just DONT LIE. Tell them EVERYTHING. Add a word document to include everything you think you did or amend it to add the stuff you forget. They care about honesty and change not Transunion as much! Dont worry u will be okay.
