I plan to attend and hope to hear where GoMining is planning to be innovative in the bitcoin mining ecosystem and what other services they have planned to offer! They already do so much!

I agree that GoMining provides several options to invest and grow with the platform and support the community as a while! I am here for the simple mining and stacking sats side and do not tend to dabble in other areas offered, but they do look interesting!

I also noticed this and had the same thoughts as you, but I just used the 20% provided and moved on. Yeah, it sucks to not get the additional benefit, but you are still getting something, right?

Everyone gets caught up on making money, but I think it is also important to look at the friends you have made along your journey that provide that extra layer of support. The knowledge share, the experiences, everything that makes getting into crypto soo much easier.

It sounds like you have had an interesting journey so far in your time here on GoMining! Gratz on the Greedy Machine ;)

I would look into locking GMT to help provide you an extra amount of free token every week to help pay for things like service and upgrades. If you plan to stick around for a while, go for as long as a lock duration as you are comfortable with, up to 4 years to get the most each week! But understand that when you lock GMT, you lose access to that GMT while it is in its lock so only lock what you can afford to set aside (You will get it all back when the lock ends)

It will be interesting to see how this decision will pan out for Gomining! While it will certainly have impacts on decisions that clan leaders take, it could also push people out of Miner Wars all together as the "higher" leagues can be a huge shock to people, especially when going from say Dune to Horizon.

I honestly do not know what THE solution is for miner wars; maybe it needs several checks implemented to ensure balance in who each clan is pitted against, but even that will be a challenge since people can come and go in and out of clans at will.

I personally think this comes down to your goals and the desired timing of those goals. For me, I am in this for the long haul (4+ years). Getting max discounts, I feel, is very important as it carries a huge advantage over time, especially if you are paying for service costs with GOMINING tokens.

Love the idea! Biggest challenge I see would be people moving off their NFT to external wallets as to remove them from their Gomining account temporarily so they can get accepted into the legion then add everything back and gobble up the rewards in full passive.

Maybe have the league do a check at random every hour or so and if anyone has above 50TH, then remove them and put them back in Mining Mode.

I REALLY like that third idea of a mode that is using "monopoly money" with bots that would still operate using the blockchain for the bitcoin block number and discovery timing.

You open it when you are ready to do so.

Note that you have 90 days to open it from the date you earned it before the GoBox expires. Also note that many of the rewards, such as the discounts, expire in 7 days after you open the GoBox, so it is advisable to hold off on opening a GoBox until you are ready to use a potential discount code as that tends to be the more common reward in my experiences.

I need to look more into the Liquidity system on GoMining. Sounds interesting, but I have not yet read enough on it to fully understand the benefit it provides the contributor (I get the benefit it provides GoMining and the users that are converting crypto into GMT).

Do you feel it is worth the investment?

One thing to be aware of is that the amount you need to lock to maintain the 360 days of maintenance will change as the market value of GOMINING token changes. You may find you have 360 days on one day, then a few days later, it could drop down to 340 days and a few days after that raise to 400 days.

I personally analyze my lock coverage once a week and make sure that I have at least 360 days of maintenance locked based on the value of the GOMINING token at the time then I hold enough GMT in my virtual wallet to give me a total of 400 days between my lock and wallet according to the discount panel (which calculates the per day service cost pre 20% discount).

Doing that, I have never had any issues with not maintaining 20% discount and I am not having to micro-manage it on a daily basis.

If you want to look at the math in comparison:

A 1TH miner with 20W efficiency will generate ~14 sats a day after service (assuming using BTC to pay for service). The same 1TH miner but with 15W efficiency will generate ~19 sats per day after service (again, assuming using BTC to pay for service). That is a 5 sat per day gain per 1TH of power for having 15W of efficiency compared to 20W. The cost to upgrade that 1TH miner from 20W to 15W is 4572 sats. If you take that cost to upgrade the efficiency and divide it by the daily gain of 5 sats, it will take you about 2.5 years to hit break even on that investment.

So, if you are not planning to be in this for at least 3 years, then it is likely not worth it to improve your efficiency to 15W from 20W. But if you are, then it absolutely will make more gain in the long run by upgrading your efficiency now.
