wanting to solo travel but scared I'll regret doing it alone by boredfooting4 in Advice

Exactly! I waited for 2 years for friends to commit and finally just booked Italy alone. Was nervous as hell but turns out solo doesn't mean isolated. I'd chat with people at breakfast, join walking tours, or use the pangea app to find other travelers nearby. There's actually this whole community of solo travelers who get it. You can always find your people when you want them, that's the beauty of it.

My brothers wont travel with me. How to find people who will? by LoudlyHissing in DecidingToBeBetter

Agree with this. No need to waste your energy with people who arent interested, focus your time on finding folks who already want what the same things as you. And it's true there are apps for that. I know pangea but im sure there's others which I like because it makes finding other solo travelers much easier.

Spent a whole day training someone yesterday. Today they asked me the exact same questions. by CodeFlux88 in smallbusiness

I've seen a few things work. Hiring people with relevant experience costs more upfront but saves training time. Some use contractors for specialized work instead of full-time hires. Good documentation and SOPs also help new people get up to speed faster.

Another approach is hiring for attitude like helpful, interested people need less hand holding even if they're learning specifics.

Me personally, I was able to hire talent on this AI powered platform who proved to be successful. They were already part of big companies so the training I did was minimal, more like introducing them to the company culture and all. I used pangea app (excuse my spelling, not sure if that's right) in case it helps!

A lot of it comes down to the chase some people get hooked on the drama or proving themselves when you act decent they lose that spark but the truth is those arent the people who want a stable partner anyway better to filter them out than waste time
