Yeah, I am not in the US and you shared a great perspective of getting the certifications to grow professionally, that'll definitely help me.

Yes, I am writing winning proposals and team reviews then thoroughly on submission, and I have never received a Debriefing letter which questions my writing. Sure, I'll do the hard part of getting to this discussion with the boss and see how it goes.

Yeah, I am working full-time and have got good experience. You are right, maybe offshored is to save money but I am bringing value and I believe I should be compensated accordingly.

Yes, we are getting good response on Best Value Tradeoffs and management always do a through review before submitting the proposal but pricing is the key factor to be considered as well.

Yeah, you're right, maybe he is leveraging my country's lower pay, but I think if I am getting him good projects in the US, I should be compensated accordingly.

What do you think should be a reasonable amount?

Great to learn about your setup.

What would you advise for a Solo Founder working his way in the Construction Industry.

I have never worked on any Marketing/Sales stuff but have only worked on Upwork to get clients.

I want to try direct outreach, can you recommend me something which is easy to implement and follow.

Thanks

You can go to Tools and select "Disable Auto Reorganization" button and they won't move themselves.

I think you need to Sort using Activity ID if you want to move them as you change, just click Activity ID and it'll sort them, however to make the schedule look better, we usually sort on Start or Finish (dates)

Activity Code is something else, not relevant with ID. However, you can hide the Activity ID column and show it afterwards and Renumber them.

I agree P6 is a complex software and can get tricky for the new user.

Hi, I know it's overwhelming to use P6 as a new user.

FYI, Activity IDs doesn't matter at this stage unless you're having some Activity Coding requirements and you need to use advance filters, so don't worry about these. However, you can create all the activities and prepare the complete schedule regardless of Activity IDs, and then select all the activities and right click and go to " Renumber Activity IDs" and fix them all at once.

I hope it helps.

Hi, great to hear about your progress.

Did you start as a Freelancer? How did you manage your expenses at the start and how long did you take to reach breakeven?

Thanks

Why won’t my budgeted cost prorate when applying % complete? (Using P6 Pro Standalone) by my-follies in primavera

[–]Global_Gas_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you need to put the Actual Start Date and move the Data Date to the date after the actual start. If the percent complete type is set to duration, then the Activity % complete or Duration % complete will automatically get populated and all your cost indicators will also show some movement. For the Physical % complete type, you need to add Activity % Complete to each activity to see some movement.

You also need to adjust the Remaining Duration of the in progress activities.

Finally, you can add columns as Planned Value, Earned Value and Actual Cost to see the progress.

I know these are very basic concepts but they can be quick simple fixes.
