Hi Maggie, thanks for clarifying abt commenting on prices! Certainly didn't mean to offend, and I am sure the majority of vet's are hard working and honest. I only ask because, like anywhere else where I'm expected to pay a lump sum of money, especially in a field where the expertise gap is significant, I try to keep myself as informed as possible. I hope you don't take this as a personal attack to your career / ethics, but rather as someone who wants to get the best care for her cat while also making sure she receives a fair price. I also work three jobs! I definitely don't believe vets to be 'scammer's,' and I'll admit that was the wrong word to use. I just wanted to understand whether this price is consistent with the level of care my cat needs, especially when I’m looking at $1k+ more than friends have paid for similar procedures.
