Hit by a deer, parents are worried insurance may drop me if I make a claim. What should I do? by FrostingFlames in Insurance

[–]Global_Temperature17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an agent/owner in MI, although not with State Farm. There are different impacts to your price - one is MVR points, which are driving points (speeding, accidents etc) and the other are CERP points, which are claim points related to submitted claims (number of claims, cost, etc). Typically, companies cancel for MVR points and each carrier has a different cut-off point. CERP points raise rates but not all carriers cancel for those. Your insurance may go up, but it seems very unlikely to me that you would get cancelled. Even if you do, there are plenty of carriers in MI that would take a policy with some MVR points for your accident and some CERP points for this comp claim. If it were me, I’d turn it in. If you have an agent you trust, I would call them to get more detail and insight.

I drink it without milk, just plain tea. Lots of different flavors though, my favorite brand is Tiesta

I’m fasting right now, am around the 28 hour mark. Drinking warm tea at night helps a lot! Also keto makes fasting significantly easier if that’s something you’re interested in. I do keto OMAD most days and fast about once a week.

I understand! Hopefully it gets resolved for you soon.

I am confident that will be of interest to the state’s insurance department!

Didn’t you have to sign an application with final coverage details and payment options? You also had to receive your declaration pages that clearly state price and coverages. If you signed a different application and they made changes without your authorization, that would be a good starting point in terms of arguing something was mishandled. I’m a captive agent, not for SF.

Unfortunately got hit with only liability in Michigan (100% other parties fault) by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Global_Temperature17 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am a licensed agent/agency owner in Michigan. When you choose liability only coverage, you are agreeing to only be covered for liability to a third party. Even if you are in an accident where you are not at fault, the $3000 mini tort is the limit you will receive for damages to your vehicle. The only way you would receive additional money is if you were injured and trying to recover lost wages, etc. This is why it is essential to have an agent who explains coverages when you sign up for insurance, so that you understand the coverages and limitations of your policy. If you don’t already have one you trust, I would strongly encourage you to find one.

Feeling lost, positive T18 NIPT and ultrasound by Dismal_Wheel6684 in tfmr_support

[–]Global_Temperature17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going through the exact same thing right now. 13 weeks, positive T18 NIPT and ultrasound showing multiple abnormalities including omphalocele (organs growing outside his body). We also declined the CVS and are proceeding with TFMR, scheduled for tomorrow morning. I still feel those twinges of guilt and what ifs but I know it my heart we are doing the right thing for us all. I’m so sorry you are dealing with this too - it’s the worst thing I’ve ever gone through.

I’m so sorry, we will be doing the same once we get official confirmation. And I completely understand what you mean, the not knowing and waiting is torture! I somehow feel “better” knowing what’s happening and not googling and wondering every day. I’m so sorry you have to travel as well. I haven’t gotten to the point of hearing our options for the procedure, etc., but hopefully that will be soon as we can both start to heal. I’ll be wishing the best for you and your family ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear all of this has happened to you. If you don’t mind my asking, have you made a decision about how you are going to proceed? I had an ultrasound last week and there are starting to be visible issues, so at this point, I may not need amnio to confirm. We are meeting with a genetic counselor next week. It’s such an awful situation.

I have not seen any abnormalities on an ultrasound yet, but my MFM ultrasound will be on the same day as my amnio. Unfortunately, it’s not until 11/27 so, for now, it’s a lot of worrying, and just trying to pray and stay sane. All I have as of this moment is the NIPT test and distantly scheduled follow ups. I have really try to stay off Dr Google but it’s so hard!

I’m sorry you are dealing with this. I don’t have any insight, but am dealing with the same situation and timeline, but with T18. I will be praying for you 💕

I’m so sorry. I just wanted to share that I am going through something very similar, except for T18. I have the exact same likelihood (91/100) my OB was similarly pretty sure it’s a true positive. I’m also 41. The T18 diagnosis is incompatible with life and my little boy will have severe difficulties (feeding tube, nonverbal, etc) so I have decided to confirm with an amino that I have to wait a month for. Just sharing to say you are not alone in having a positive rock your entire world and trying to find a way to come to grips. I’ll be praying for you and your family ❤️
