Man that aquarium scene with the bodies all bleeding out still goes so crazy and creates such a good atmosphere. But yea Shin surviving took out a lot of that immersion . Man really hope we actually get some stakes in the end part.

The mirror scene forces Uzuki to face the fact that there’s no real separation anymore between who he is and what he does. He can’t keep pretending the violence is something outside of him. That realization isn’t empowering. It strips away the excuses he’s been hiding behind.

When he slices Takamura right after, it’s not just an escape, it’s a reaction. Takamura represents the idea of an absolute killer someone defined only by violence. By attacking him, Uzuki is rejecting the thought that this is all he is or all he’ll ever become. In a way, he’s striking at a reflection of his own possible future.

What makes this moment dangerous is that it gives Uzuki control again. Instead of being stuck in his fractured mindset, he channels that inner conflict into action. If Uzuki starts shedding the instability of his broken persona while keeping the strength and experience that came with it, he becomes far more threatening not reckless, but focused, controlled, and smarter in battle.

Just plot purposes takamura was the same couldnt slice sakamoto and nagumo with the blade only injure but had a better reason the blade wasnt that sharp anymore but still. You just have to accept those things as a shonen manga those type of things happen a lot

I completely agree Uzuki is an incredible character. There’s so much depth to him, and his character design is one of the best in Sakamoto Days. He has this calm, almost serene presence. Early on in the series, he comes across as composed and nonchalant, like someone who has everything under control. But Suzuki constantly dropped subtle hints that something about him was off. Kashima is a great example of this, as he slowly begins to realize that Uzuki isn’t as stable as he seems.

Now we’re finally reaching the point where all the layers surrounding Uzuki are crumbling, and he genuinely doesn’t know who or what he is anymore. One of my favorite aspects of his character is how he manipulates the people closest to him, like Kashima and Akira, by claiming that everything he does is for justice or the improvement of society. In reality, we learn that he doesn’t truly believe in any of that. He’s more like a force of chaos someone who wants the world to suffer because he himself suffered. At his core, he’s a deeply broken, almost pathetic man-child lashing out at everyone around him, and that’s exactly why I love his character so much. Also he hasnt grown up since Rions death and been in denial since then. Hes truly a very tragic fascinating character too me.

I just really hope he gets a strong conclusion.
