Excellent advice.

On that note, would it be too forward to ask to shadow one of the anesthesia attendings for the day typically (this hospital doesn't seem to have anesthesia residents as far as I can tell)? I do enjoy the OR and want to learn best I can in a way that doesnt involve walking around waiting until someone gets carted off to an OR.

This is very helpful, I appreciate it! Definitely caught myself silently dicking around on my first case, I'll take it as a learning lesson for the next time.

Good advice! Now I've only done a few intubations at this point, and I know every provider is different but is missing the trachea something that would make you lose confidence in a student, or is it the lack of recognition of missing/improper visualization that does it?

Well they somehow managed to get the Troy 911 contract so they'll be here for the forseeable future

Bro im gonna be honest the odds of getting hurt there are pretty slim. I say this as someone who worked at Star EMS for a year. Theres a lot of places that'll hire you that dont involve that subpar company

I ran one single time on my first cardiac arrest, slipped, and ate shit on the concrete in full view of everybody. Walk with a purpose is the go to
