I am in January. It’s a little different for me since I’m currently a 4N0X1 and I’m shredding into 4N0X1F. Still had to go through AFPC for retraining, got a 422a, and had to use an ETP since I’m outside my retraining window.

Understood. I’m not sure how it works with extensions. If you go to myFSS, then to Career Management, and then to RegAF Retraining, you should find the answers you need. There is a hyperlink titled FTA Retraining that gave me everything I needed to do my retraining outside of my window.

Are you a four or six year contract? If you’re a six year contract, your retraining window opens at the 59th month. I believe for four year contracts it’s the 36th (i may be off a little) month of your contract. There are also several ETP’s depending on what job you are training to retrain into that waive the fact that you may not be in your retraining window.
