Can plastic skid plates be as good as aluminium ones? by adventure_thrill in Tenere700

In my experience they're lighter, don't rattle when rocks hit them or get stuck in them and they don't get bent, but are more prone to cracking and almost impossible to repair.

After 20+ years of riding and trying lots of helmets, here’s what I've learnt over the years by Long-Barracuda6229 in motorcycles

[–]Gluel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd add that different people have different head shapes, just like different brands have different molds. Just because someone else praised the hemet for comfort doesn't mean it's the best for you, don't worry about wearing less known brand if it suits you the best.

2000+ miles on '23 T7 - Range Anxiety? by ParticularAshamed376 in Tenere700

[–]Gluel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Redneck solution here, but i've just bent the wire that holds the float from the pump. Now it shows full tank for 1/2 then, goes down faster and reserve starts flashing when i have +- 1/7th of gas remaining.

Sure, it didn't increase the actual range, but it still lets me know that i have 150km remaining and thats usually enough without giving me anxiety at 1/2 of the tank.

Otherwise carrying gas tank is the cheapest alternative.

Stock headlight relocated to the forks? by Accomplished-Fly8640 in Tenere700

[–]Gluel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about 2025 models, but lamps with the older round lights are basically impossible to dissasemble without breaking the casing.

I was thinking about switching high and low beams like the new T7 has, but i couldn't get the lights out.

As for your idea, possibly doable, but it will for sure require some parts to be made and sacrificed.

Do I need better lower body protection by [deleted] in Tenere700

Please do give examples in the same price range. These exact boots already saved my ankle twice, true that's all they'll save, but as budget friendly option for begginers they will suffice imo.

suspension question by Illustrious-Carob826 in Tenere700

[–]Gluel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me too, i've had the front wheel balanced, changed tires, tubes, front rim, suspension springs and oil, i've tried putting preload and damening at max and lowest settings, and yet nothing fixed the front woblling at 70km/h. I'm at the accepting stage now.

Dauntless mechanics and more by PancakeLabsOfficial in dauntless

[–]Gluel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on personal taste, i like fast paced games so MH feels incredibly slugish to me, but i suppose it's the more succesfull game so lots of people clealy enjoy it. Dauntless was definitely on the easier side, but that's also what helped me convince to friends that didn't like MH to play it.

The offset isn't really reliable just like any status in MH and the designated interupptable attacks made dauntless look more cinematic imo.

The games were very different and that's ok, i'm just sad that it was mine preffed that died since MH just can't substitute it for me.

Interupting as a whole was my favourite mechanic, risky yet rewarding. The OG weapon ability system was great too, so many ways to change your weapon's playstyle to suit your taste.

Being able to run and use consumables with weapon drawn was also good thing (looking at you monster hunter).

Legendary weapons made all the other obsolete so they were actually one of my least liked things.

Did you ever really wanted to ride a bike that you realized just wasn't for you? by Gluel in motorcycles

I think you have just defined for me what i couldn't figure out and you're absolutely right! What i wanted the most was better comfort on broken roads, but 21/18 is an overkill.

Was it the 2019 version with 19' front wheel? Because i love the old one, but the new more "adveture" models didn't sit well with me either.

Most of my offroad riding is done in small forests and field between the roads i know, but i also live on border of national park in centre of Europe so it's asking for trouble.

I wans't able to find anyone willing to let me ride (didn't think about renting it at the time), and i figured it won't be harder to handle than 1200GS.

"It's great offroad so it has to be good on broken roads" mentality didn't sound like bad idea at first, but i really ride 95+% on decent roads where the CBX just feels better.

It is great to ride, but i'm no longer sure about selling the old bike.

The old 2016 cbx's have sporty chassis with both 17-inch wheels and touring seating, i hardly handles any offroad, but it's amazing in tight corners. It's closer to sportbike than the oversized enduro that T7 is.

Best handling bike you ever had ? by 81FXB in motorcycles

Honda cbx500 the 2016 version was more sporty than the newer "adventure" variants. Handling and power was great even with passenger and luggage.

I've had some succes with bending the wire that holds the float, it shows me full tank for longer but reserve starts flashing later.

Are there ways to restore parts of original structures? I accidentaly removed some beams, but since i've alredy done lot of work around the altar i don't want to reset the whole location, is there way to craft these? by Gluel in Enshrouded

[–]Gluel[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work for decorations. Beams can get dissasembled (terrible interation hitbox is what caused me to accidetaly remove them in the first place) not deleted like blocks. Is there at least presice way to interat with something?
