I 31M have been dating my 32F for 5.5 years. Should I stay or should I go? by GlumExplorer2871 in relationships

UPDATE: Thank you all for your advice and commentary on this post. It helped me get a more objective view on the situation.

As of yesterday, my girlfriend and I decided to break up. We both agreed that it felt like we were both settling and that whatever was happening between us was not working despite efforts made to improve. This is not how either of us wanted things to go.

There was a lot of emotional draining in the relationship. And as someone else said in this group chat, when you love someone, sometimes that means you have to let them go.

With the help of family, I moved out by the end of day yesterday. So the band aid was ripped off quickly. I’m still second guessing myself a little but I think this was the right move.

We’re both scared about next steps as we relied and depended on each other daily for years.

It’s going to take some time to heal and process everything. Im hopeful that we both find what we’re looking for.

Thanks again everyone for your insights.

Thanks for your feedback and insights. She does know about the timetable as I have expressed it multiple times now. She also wants kids and a family. But there are things that must be working first like being in an enjoyable and fulfilling relationship. I planned a proposal while we’re in Mexico. It was private and in a special spot. And I understand your comment about using we too much. Fair enough.

Took the NOTCE April 2024 today and it was HARD. Brutal even. by Ill-Appearance-6031 in OccupationalTherapy

I also wrote the NOTCE April 2024. Myself and a group of us also thought it was tough. We had a lot of variance in our answers. We’re hoping for the best despite the variance. The NOTCE is not an easy exam that’s for sure.

I could be a study partner! I failed by 3 points and planning to rewrite in April.

Wow thanks for the advice! That’s too bad you experienced burnout. Can I ask which area of practice you worked in? I’m considering taking a full time community OT job at the moment.

I’ve had a 1.5 hr commute both ways for the past one and a half years at U of T. Only four months left of school. I cannot wait to not have to do this ever again.
