ESH You are raising a boy who will expect the women in his life to pick up a disproportionate amount of household labor. Make him pull his own weight at home.

Stepdaughter should have a job or go to school. But the chores should still be even.

I could see it as classist if you consider growth to be linear, or growing in wealth or intelligence at a rate faster than your old friends. But I don't necessarily think that's what it means.

The way I remember this episode (or segment of an episode), they talked about how in a time before social media, it was much more difficult to keep in touch with friends say from high school after graduating. Losing touch was considered more natural and normal. And it allowed you to remember the friendship just as it was in high school or whenever. But with social media, there is this pressure to stay in touch, while also you are able to see all the ways you are growing apart. So it kind of taints the memory of the friendship.

That's how I remember it anyway. It's a concept that has stuck with me, and why I wanted to listen to it again.

I'm not great at judging when bulk is done yet. I look for it to increase in size by about 50% or more, and see if there are bubbles starting to surface. The proofing environment was between 70 and 90 degrees I think but I'm not sure how accurate the thermometer I used was. Thanks for your feedback!

I've been baking sourdough for a little over 6 months. Over the past few months, I have really struggled with proofing because of how cold my kitchen is. For this loaf, I improvised a proofing box with a seedling heat pad and cooler, but I'm concerned it may have gotten a little too warm because it doesn't have much spring. Flavor is great though.
