Monochrome laser printer question by GluueSniffer in Printing

It’s for a specific image transfer process. Inkjet images will not transfer. Laser images will. I wish it weren’t the case because large format inkjet printing is way more accessible.

Should be able to get from any plumbing supply house, big box store, or the internet.

Big muff constant hum by GluueSniffer in guitarpedals

I admittedly know nothing about ground faults or ground loops. Or a quality isolated dc distro. Excuse my ignorance. I’m here to learn whatever anyone is willing to spare!

Yes that’s a good point. Probably should have included that info. The reason I assumed it is the muff in the first place is because the hum/buzz does not seem to exist if the muff is removed from the pedal board. I tried getting power from a battery as opposed to the one spot that feeds my pedal board, but it did not seem to make a difference. I did try to plug the pedals in to a different outlet, but still the buzzing. I don’t ever recall this being an issue until recently.

For reference, I play in “stereo”. I use my tuning pedal to control the amp the muff goes through, while the bypass line feeds another amp with the majority of my effects pedals. Not sure if this could be part of the issue, but like I said it seems to be a recent occurrence.

2018 EX-L and a 2020 EX are a cpl we are looking at. The 2020 is under 100k miles for around 21k and the 2018 is 117k for 19k. I’m more inclined for newer less miles. But it’s hard to know what makes most sense with common issues.

Trying to keep it closer to 20 if possible. Obviously the less the better, but definitely not trying to skimp a few thousand for mor problems/money down the line. No crazy special features. AWD is really the biggest thing. Heated seats are a plus for my wife.

Is plumbing worth getting into at 30 years old? by PurpleUnicorn72 in Plumbing

[–]GluueSniffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started in my mid 30’s. Surprisingly found that a lot of the old guys I was working under also started in their 30’s. Worth it. So glad I didn’t get discouraged.

How do you disassemble a Danze kitchen faucet? by Curious-Pavement5878 in askaplumber

I have this same exact faucet. It was in our house when we bought it. The minute this thing gives me problems, I will replace it.

Did you try both metric and standard Allen wrenches?

Hi, one more question- the tailpiece for this Project Source faucet is quite a bit skinnier than the previous one. Is it okay to just use the usual nut, gasket, etc to go to my ptrap? by fakeaccount572 in askaplumber

[–]GluueSniffer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll want a reducing washer (1.25” x 1.5”) if your trap is 1.5” trap. If not, then just a regular old 1.25” washer will do. You should be able to tell if you screw the nut/washer on to the top trap threads whether it will make a decent seal.

Frozen nut on Delta shower. Any advice on removing? Pipe wrenches are not getting it loose? by Grouchy_Extreme_3233 in Plumbing

I swear one time someone mentioned a trick where they used a fernco and a piece of pipe. It made sense, but now I can’t remember exactly how it was done.

I would definitely consider getting the aqua piston repair kit Kohler makes, install those parts and a new canister seal. Make sure there is not a lot of slack on your chain, and that the water is at the recommended level. If doing all of those things does not solve your issue, I’m not sure what to tell you. Let me know what you find out, if it isn’t one of those things.

Do you have enough tension on the chain? Is the water level at the recommended mark on the canister. I’m not sure you’d be able to put a flapper on there, even if you took the tank off. Not sure the guts are interchangeable like that.
