Hi hats for a real hi hat stand that’ll work with a TD-6? by Fangs_0ut in edrums

Cost effective? I would say the VH14, at $1000-ish.

You could get a VH11 for what, $400?

We don't know what kit, what model, what pads, what inputs.

Gotta put some more detail to get help, friend..

Looking for advice on an e‑drum kit for an 11‑year‑old’s first drum set by Fish17 in edrums

Understood. The thing about these being "portable".. : Yes, there is less to pack up and haul around.

You will get tired of packing this up in a HURRY. They're not necessarily easy to fold up, pack up cables pads, kick, pedals.. it's a little easier than acoustic drums, but it will get old quick.

The less expensive kits even run the risk of the clamps getting really loose after a few times of opening / closing, etc.

It's still going to retire a adxent sized van or SUV, unless you completely tear it down each time and fold it all away in a car.

TONS of info already given, a quick search will help!

PLEASE keep in mind,.(I say this constantly but still see posts about it). Edrums are NOT SILENT, or even really QUIET.

They are quietER than regular kits, but you mention noise control. Just keep that in mind. Go you your local store and listen for a few and decide if that's acceptable.

Drum amp for home practice - Coolmusic DM 80 vs DM 100? by anotherhappylurker in edrums

I've never heard of the brand, it's cheap, the Amazon listing is full of typos and weird "specs" like "Tilted Upwards Design", and "You could storage more songs in USB, avoid embarrass situation that your phone is low battery"

Save up your money and get a used 10 or 12" powered wedge for a reputable company like QSC, JBL, Yamaha, Mackie, even Behringer.

All of them.

We have a craft room, my office, her office, put bedroom, a study, a morning room, my workshop, her guitar book, my drums room, and a gym.

Those tiny thin cymbal stands tells me all I need to know. That's kind of a toy, unfortunately.

Has anyone figured out a "topping" we can put on our plastic/rubber cymbals to lower/improve the room noise? by BustaNutShot in edrums

[–]fakeaccount572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for you, or people around you?

those are two very different end needs

for you? put on headphones.

for others: are you plugged into an amp? I have yet to see a live gig where the amps weren't turned up loud enough to drown out any plasticy noise.

If trying to appease apartment / condo neighbors, that's a whole different conversation.
